One of the biggest challenges managers face today is communication (Tim connor, 2010).

He stated that in an organization, when there is no communication there is no relationship between the organization and its customer. The policies and philosophy of a manager, will eventually find its way into the attitudes and performance of everyone in the organization, therefore one of the critical things to remember when dealing with people is their behaviour or attitude toward things and If you want to change a behaviour, you must first evaluate the culture that is in place that may be rewarding the type of behaviour you are getting but don't necessarily want. He also started that a way to determine ones management success is not to motivate employees but to create a positive motivational climate where employees take responsibility for their own actions. Other authors like Stevens Amidon, Stuart Bly, (2008) also voiced on how Communication managers face these challenges. Their investigation was based on interviews with 11 communication managers, whose agency and identity were determined by both the structure of the organizations in which they work, technologies, and regulatory techniques. With their work undergoing transition because of globalization, outsourcing, and rapid technological change, the stories that these managers tell demonstrate the importance of studying management as it specifically applies to communication managers. The book becoming a manager (Linda hill, 2003) helps to understand how new managers master the challenges of leadership which they are being faced with today. She believes that one has to learn to be a manager by developing interpersonal judgement, coping with stress and emotion, building an effective team, managing subordinates performance and self-examination. The US government accountability office (2007) talked about how Resource managers do not have enough information to plan and manage the effects of climate change such as economic and social effect (adverse impacts on tourism, infrastructure, fishing), physical effect (droughts, floods), biological effect (increases in insect and disease infestations). These managers have no knowledge on how to address climate change nor know what action to take when need to. Without this information, managers are limited to reacting to already-observed climate change effects on their units, which makes it difficult to plan for future change. Govindan Marthandan, Chun Meng Tang(2010).This article talks on correlation between IT and business performance. Business managers face issues and challenges and how IT is able to deliver the intended benefits. The reason for this paper is to examine IT evaluation issues and challenges faced by information systems (IS) researchers, IS specialists, and business managers. This paper begins by reviewing the disparate discussions in past literature on IT evaluation issues and challenges. It then provides a synthesis of the disparate discussions by identifying eight issues and challenges in IT evaluation which are: evaluation scope, evaluation timing, unit of analysis, different dimensions, different measures, and underpinning theoretical frameworks. It concluded with some opinions on how to improve IT evaluation practices. These new challenges that managers now face call for a shift in emphasis toward topics not well covered in academia (Paul J H Schoemaker, 2008). This article talks on the teaching, research, and governance issues these new learning imperatives pose for business schools and also offers some ways in which they can be fixed, based in part on the experience of Wharton's Mack Centre for Technological Innovation.

M Thayaparan et al (2010).This articles talks about the UK construction and the challenges it faces. How gender segregation pattern in industries resulted to the fact that 85% of the women who are attached to the UK construction industry hold administrative positions which makes the industry not to benefit from the diverse skills that women could offer. Increasing the number of women managers may have an impact on the typical gender segregation pattern of the industry and in turn may help the industry fulfilling their skills. In conclusion, industries today place multiple demands on leaders, urging them to impart vision, initiate change, and make difficult decisions. And for them to achieve these, leaders must be flexible and adaptable.
