RESOLUTION 4:2 1 OF 2012 RESOLUTION WAIVING BUILDING PERMIT FEES FOR THE STAATSBURG LIBRARY WHEREAS, the Staatsburg Library District has made, or will make, application to the Town of Hyde Park Building Inspector for a building permit to conduct certain renovation work at the Staatsburg Library; and WHEREAS, the Town of Hyde Park deems it in the public interest to waive the building permit fees for community libraries.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Hyde Park Building Inspector is hereby authorized to waive the requirement of any building permit fees which would normally be charged for any Staatsburg Library District renovation work. MOTION: SECOND: ROLL CALL VOTE BY TOWN CLERK Councilwoman Svenson Councilman Petito Councilman Truitt Councilman Schneider Supervisor Rohr ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ RESOLUTION 4:2 2 OF 2012 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF HYDE PARK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO UTILIZE THE TOWN HALL BUILDING AND GROUNDS FOR PURPOSES OF THE CONDUCT OF A TAG SALE ON APRIL 28 AND 29, 2012 WHEREAS, the Town of Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce desires to conduct a townwide tag sale on April 28 and 29, 2012; and WHEREAS, the Town of Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce has requested that the Chamber of Commerce be permitted to utilize the Town Hall parking area to set up tables and booths for purposes of the conduct of the tag sale; and WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce has also requested that the Town Hall be opened to permit a limited restroom use during the conduct of the tag sale; and WHEREAS, the Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce has in the past, without incident, conducted such tag sales on the Town Hall property. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce is hereby authorized to utilize the Town Hall parking lot on April 28 and 29, 2012 during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the conduct of a town-wide tag sale; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Hall shall be opened during those hours to permit a limited and restricted use of the restroom under the supervision of the Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce shall provide a certificate of insurance in the amount of no less than $1,000,000.00 listing the

Town of Hyde Park as an additional insured on the Hyde Park Chamber of Commerces liability insurance policy; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town of Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce shall indemnify and hold harmless the Town of Hyde Park from any claims or damages which may be sustained or asserted against the Town as a result of the conduct of this tag sale; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town of Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce shall be responsible for cleaning the parking lot and the Town Hall restrooms after the conduct of the tag sale, and for removing all trash and debris from the Town Hall premises. MOTION: SECOND: ROLL CALL VOTE BY TOWN CLERK Councilwoman Svenson Councilman Petito Councilman Truitt Councilman Schneider Supervisor Rohr ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ RESOLUTION 4:2 3 OF 2012 RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE MONTH OF APRIL, 2012 AS DIVERSITY FAIR HOUSING MONTH WHEREAS, April 11, 2012 marks the 44th anniversary of the passage of the U.S. Fair Housing Law, Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, as amended, which enunciates a national policy of Fair Housing without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, sex familial status and handicap, and encourages fair housing opportunities for all citizens; and WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Hyde Park, as well as the Dutchess County Association of Realtors, are committed to highlight the Fair Housing Law, Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 by continuing to address discrimination in our community, to support programs that will educate the public about the right to equal housing opportunities, and to plan partnership efforts with other organizations to help assure every American of their right to fair housing. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Hyde Park does hereby resolve that April, 2012, being Fair Housing Month, begins a year-long commemoration of the U.S. Fair Housing Law in the Town of Hyde Park and urge all citizens to wholeheartedly recognize this celebration throughout the year. SECOND: ROLL CALL VOTE BY TOWN CLERK Councilwoman Svenson Councilman Petito Councilman Truitt Councilman Schneider Supervisor Rohr ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ RESOLUTION 4:2 4 OF 2012 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CERTIFICATE OF SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION FOR THE MC SUPERIOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS, INC. CONTRACT WITH THE TOWN OF HYDE PARK WHEREAS, MC Superior Electrical Systems, Inc. entered into a contract to perform certain electrical work in conjunction with the construction of the Town of Hyde Park police and court facility; and WHEREAS, the work performed under the contract has been reviewed and found to be by the Town of Hyde Park consulting architect, Mauri Associates Architects, PC, to be substantially complete, in accordance with the contract documents; and WHEREAS, the contractor has submitted a Certificate of Substantial Completion to be signed by the Town of Hyde Park Supervisor; and WHEREAS, the Towns consulting architect has signed and approved that Certificate of Substantial Completion. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Hyde Park Supervisor is hereby authorized to sign the Certificate of Substantial Completion for the MC Superior Electrical Systems, Inc. contract as submitted to the Town of Hyde Park and signed and approved by Mauri Associates Architects, PC. RESOLUTION 4:2 5 OF 2012 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF HYDE PARK SUPERVISOR TO SIGN A CERTIFICATE OF SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION FOR WORK PERFORMED BY TRANSITIONAL BUILDERS, INC. WHEREAS, Transitional Builders, Inc. entered into a contract with the Town of Hyde Park for the performance of certain construction work on the Town of Hyde Park police and court facility (Project No. 09-35C); and WHEREAS, the Town of Hyde Parks consulting architects for this project, Mauri Associates Architects, PC, has signed and approved the Certificate of Substantial Completion which indicates, in relevant part, that all work pursuant to that contract has been substantially completed except for a list of work to be completed, having a value of $10,870.00 annexed to the Certificate; and WHEREAS, the contractor has agreed to complete or correct the work on said list within forty two (42) days from the date of Substantial Completion. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Hyde Park Supervisor is hereby authorized to sign the Certificate of Substantial Completion dated February 8, 2012 with Transitional Builders, Inc.
