(Eighty-year-old ailing Pakistani microbiologist Mohammed Khaleel Chishty, serving life term in an Ajmer jail in Rajasthan in a murder case of 1992, was on Monday (April 9) granted bail by the Supreme Court. =Odisha police opposes release of Maoists for hostages release= (30 prisoners for Hikaka's release, a body of policemen objected to release of "hardcore" Maoists.

Sabarmal Sharma, president of Odisha Police Association told reporters: "We will strongly oppose if the government released hardcore Maoists. If necessary we will stop working in Maoist affected areas."
