TBM : METHOD OF CONSTRCUTION


This method starts by excavating a trench to provide a space for assembly the TBM components. The trench is reinforced with diaphragm walls and steel struts.

During the drilling process, the assemble of components is doing at the same time.

While the drilling works are carried out near the building, surveys will be conducted to monitor for any settlement that may occur in any nearest buildings during the work.

At the end of the point, the trench will be excavate similar with the start point as a receiver trench for the TBM. Upon arrival, the TBM is then dismantled and brought upon to the surface

Lastly, the tunnel is done when all the appliances is completely installed.
