These students each have a foam ball. On the signal, the chase begins. Those students who are IT throw the ball. If a player is tagged, they move to a designated area and perform a reward (e.g. pushups, sit ups, activity card, etc.), then they rejoin the game. Rotate taggers often. If a student is tagged, you may want them to stand and carry the scooter to the designated exercise area. If time permits students will also play Scooter relay, Scooter push relay, and Sharks and Surfers. - Sharks and surfers is played by having every student has their own scooter. Designate 4/5 people to be the sharks and give them a particular color of pinnie to wear. Have the rest of the students surfers line up along one end of the gym. At the other end of the gym scatter a number of pennies in the free zone (Students on scooters cant be tagged in the free zone.) To begin the game one of the sharks yells Surfs up!. The surfers try to get to the other end of the gym and get a penny without getting tagged. If the surfers dont get to the other end of the gym without getting tagged they have to go back to the beginning line. If they get to the opposite end without getting tagged, but get tagged coming Lesson Length: 45 minutes

back they have to give one penny to the shark that tagged him/her. The object of the game it to try and get as many pennies as possible, but I do not count or declare winners. I simply have them put them back and we play again. If you run out of pennies, start again. Note: Change sharks every 3 minutes, so that everyone has a chance to be the shark. When you change sharks you have the choice of putting all the pennies back or just carrying on with what they have. Have students be careful so that the pennies dont get caught in the wheels. It may work best to have them wear them 7. Scooter Board Soccer: One team starts with the ball at center. Dribbling the ball with feet (or hands, hands and feet can also be allowed) and passing to team mates using feet are allowed. Students cannot pick up ball. Variations include changing the size of the ball (e.g. omnikin ball), 3 net soccer (3 teams), use more than one ball.
