FINAL SELF-ASSESSMENT DISPOSITION EVALUATION Date I show commitment to ethical conduct: fairness, honesty, responsibility, compassion, collaboration, and collegiality. I systematically and regularly reflect on my practice with an aim toward continuous improvement and lifelong learning. Understanding that every person can learn in diverse ways, I facilitate learning for all students. I have the ability and knowledge to create a safe, well managed, engaging and inclusive library environment that supports individual differences and interests. I am able to define information literacy skills, to design collaborative lessons to teach these skills, and to integrate these skills into the various curriculum areas. I am familiar with multiple print and electronic resources that students can use for individual, group, or class projects I advocate reading and literature while satisfying the individual reading interests of each student. Rating 1-4 4 Evidence Regular collaboration with colleagues, I treat students fairly, highly respect my co-workers, very fair practices occur in the media center under my direction I am continually evaluating the effectiveness of the lessons I teach and work to make strong connections to units of instruction so that learning in the media center I meaningful to the students I have built the bi-lingual section of the library over these 4 years so that all of our students have access to quality materials. I have developed a program where students are engaged in interesting and fun learning and they love to come to the library. I have worked within the PYP model for over 6 years now and it is highly collaborative in nature. Most of the library lessons involve collaboration on some level. This continues to grow. I learn and use many different software packages as well as number of online resources. I am known for my ability to teach myself programs and use them. I use PD opportunities to share these with colleagues whenever possible. This is an ongoing process. Students are free to choose with guidance any book or other material from our library. There are very few restrictions placed on them and they love to read. This is at least in part due to the way I have encouraged a love for reading and helped them see how reading makes a huge difference in their learning.
