Introduction: Misrepresentation is a contract law concept. It means a false statement of fact made by one part y to another part y, which has the effect of inducing that part y into the contract. For example, under certain circumstances, false statements or promises made by a seller of goods regarding the qualit y or nature of the product that the seller has may constitute misrepresentation. A finding of misrepresentation allows for a remedy of rescission and sometimes damages depending on the t ype of misrepresentation Aims and Objective : The aim of the project is to present an overview of Misrepresentation and Contract through various Statutes, Guidelines and suggestions and different writings and articles. The aim has been to identify the different aspects of Misrepresentation and its effect on Contracts.

Scope : Though the study of Contracts is an immense project and pages can be written over the topic but due to certain restrictions and limitations I was not able to deal with the topic in detail.
