Reading Skills: Taking Notes, Major/Minor Points

According to mead, the self has two sides: the I and the me. It is predictable because social conformity is expected. This part of the self is less predictable because it is unique. This part of the self is formed through socialization by others. The I represents the individuality of a person. STEPS FOR TAKING NOTES 1.) Eliminate minor points using keywords. 2.) Locate keywords which reflect upon the main idea. (major points) 3.) Find keywords which reflect upon the major points. (minor points) REFERENCE Major Points = Important Idea Minor Points = Example & Detail Connect the synonyms of keywords from sentence to sentence Connect the ideas as a whole starting from the main idea major points minor points
