Do not reinvent the wheel, but work with your cooperating teacher to add your own flare to what he/she already does. Demonstration of writing Goals from Questions Write out 2 to 4 questions that the students will be able to answer at the end of the unit based on district and grade level expectations. Idea for Final Assessment of the Standard: Culminating Activity, etc. See T&T Unit Exemplars pages 70 -130. Final objectives must reflect higher level thinking skills (Blooms Taxonomy T&T pp. 32-34). Use a variety of teaching/learning styles, Multiple Intelligences, best practices, special needs accommodations, integration of subjects, hands-on learning, cooperative learning, affective learning, diversity, and technology etc. These first lessons will work at the knowledge and comprehension levels of Blooms. A good rule of thumb is to make this as engaging as possible (limit the worksheets). Objectives are measureable and specific. What will the learner do?
