Abstract

This study includes the investigation of the effect of static magnetic field
within the range (0.1-0.5)T on the integrity of normal healthy people leukocyte.
The blood were used for lymphocyte transformation, the phagocyte functional
integrity phagocytes against staphylococcus aureaus and the lymphocyte
transformation for lymphocyte stimulated with phytoheamagglutinine (PHA)
test, at different time of exposure to static magnetic field. Also this study
investigate the biological effect of static magnetic field on a number of viable
and nonviable lymphocyte cells stimulated and non stimulated with PHA
exposed to 0.2T static magnetic field for 30min.
The results show that non PHA stimulated lymphocyte transformation
cells exposed to (0.1-0.5)T static magnetic field have a significantly increase in
transformation rate compared to non-exposed lymphocyte (control). The values
of lymphocyte transformation stimulated with PHA and exposed to 0.2T for
(30-180)min decreased compared with stimulated non-exposed lymphocyte
cells. The results for phagocytes cells exposed to (0.1-0.4)T static magnetic
field are significantly decrease correlated with magnetic field intensity and time
of exposure.
In other experiment the viable and non-viable assay shows an increased
in dead stimulated cells exposed to 0.2T for 30min compared to stimulated cells
non-exposed cells. However, there are no significant changes in dead expose
cells compared to normal healthy non-exposed cells (control).
