What is ANATOMY? ANATOMY- is the scientific


discipline that investigates the structure of the body. The word anatomy means to dissect, or to cut apart & separate the parts of the body for study.

What is PHYSIOLOGY?

PHYSIOLOGY- is the scientific discipline that deals with the processes or functions of living things.

2 Basic Approaches of Anatomy

Systemic Anatomy- is the study body by systems


Regional Anatomy- is the study of the organization of the body by areas.

- involves interactions among atoms and their combinations into molecules.
