HP device types can be imported into your SAP system using either the SAP SE38 or SPAD transaction in R/3.
4. Select the execute button in the upper left corner of the screen (check mark inside the clock). 5. When the report appears, select the Device Type radio button. 6. Type in IMPORT in the field to the right of Mode. 7. Type in the name of the device type you want to import in the field to the right of object name.

8. Select the execute button (check mark inside the clock). 9. Select the Local Object button. 10. Select the path for the device type, highlight the device type you want, and select Open. 11. When the import process is complete, a message will appear on screen stating Object successfully imported.
