Hon'ble Justice Shyamal Kumar Sen, Retired Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court takes the chair and the following members are present - 1) Shri G.D. Gautama, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary, Home Department, Government of West Bengal 2) Dr. RC. Sethi, Addl. Registrar General, Census, Government of india 3) Shri Anil Verma, IAS, Administrator, DGHC and Joint Convenor of the Committee 4) Smt. Smaraki Mahapatra, IAS, District Magistrate, Jalpaiguri 5) Shri Soumitra Mohan, IAS, District Magistrate, Darjeeling 6) Shri LB. Pariyar, IAS, (Retd.], Representative of GJM 7) Shri S.N. But in the proceedings of the third > BL necting the name of Mr. Rai has been recorded at SI. No.7 as present while it has = mentioned that Mr. Pradhan was absent. Both the recordings are incorrect as a. Pradhan was present while Mr. Rai was absent. Mr. Sethi, Additional Registrar General, India has stated that Socioeconomic - > Caste Census has already been started in different states in the country and in West , Bengal it is expected to be started shortly. In the Socio-economic Caste Census, a) religion and caste of the persons will be recorded. He also mentions that it will take f time depending upon the steps as may be taken by the State Government. i 7. While discussing on the resolution No. 7 of the third meeting it has been pointed out that the map of the Darjeeling district has been received, but no map of Dooars area in the Jalpaiguri district has been received from Mr. Pariyar. Chairman mentions that a map of Jalpaiguri district is received from DM, Jalpaiguri. Mr. Pariyar requests for a copy of the same for colouring of area of the Moujas as claimed by them. A copy of the map of jalpaiguri is handed over to Mr. Pariyar through the Secretary of the Committe after receiving the same from DM, Jalpaiguri. DM, Jalpaiguri also mentions that the list of Moujas claimed by GJM for inclusion in GTA in respect of both the areas of Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri should be sent to the respective District Magistrates. Accordingly, it is resolved that the same as received from Mr. Pariyar and Mr. Roshan Giri will be sent to the respective District Magistrates.
