WHAT IS WEBQUEST?

Is a format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web, it means that the information that students explore and evaluate comes from the world wide web.

What are the essential parts of a WebQuest?


There are six critical components in a Webquest:

Introduction:

It provides background information and motivational


scenarios like giving students roles to play. The goal of the introduction is to make the activity desirable and fun for students.

Task: The task is a formal description of what students will

have accomplished by the end of the Webquest. It


means, that teacher should find resources for a particular topic an the web.

Process: It goes in accomplishing the task, with links embedded in each step.

Resources:

It consists in a list of resources (bookmaked, Web sites, print resources). These can include things like videos, audio cassettes, books, maps, posters, etc.

Evaluation: Refers that the students need a rubric for evaluate the work of them. The standards should be fair, clear, consist

and specific to the tasks set.

Conclusion:

Is where students make a summary or discussion about the topic, it means, what are they doing? What are they learning?
