ABSTRACT
Study on growth and the expression of Heat Shock
Proteins in drought condition of SANG YOD rice (Oryza sativa).
As an experimental control, the seedlings were germinated and
grown for 7 days then continue growing in liquid medium
Hoagland solution without PEG 6000. To simulate drought
condition,
the
plants

58.7, HSP 26.7 and HSP 17.2 genes were compared using
Semi-Quantitative RT-PCR method. The results could not be
concluded confidently due to the expression of Actin gene,
which was chosen to be as internal standard for quantitative
comparison of mRNA levels, failed to detect. The result
suggests that the RT-PCR amplification condition for Actin
gene was probably unsuitable.
