ABSTRAT

This research wants to identify the level of preparation of teachers in the Elementary School Dr. Bolvar de Abreu regarding the use of information technology planning and execution of their classes. Nine teachers aged between 30 and 53 years participated in the survey instrument. It was used as the questionnaire, composed of objective and subjective questions to collect information. The data analysis allowed us to conclude that there is need to adequately prepare teachers to use computers as a teaching resource driver of learning, because 89% of teachers have average knowledge relative to the computer and its tools and 66% received some type of training to use the resource. Among the difficulties encountered, 55% of participants reported having insecurity and lack of pedagogical advice for using computers in school.. We believe that educational computing is a feature enhancer of learning KEYWORDS: computer science, education, training.
