Create India and Africas Future


Contest Theme Create a poster that portrays the synergies of India and Africa and what these mean to you. The poster can be a painting, illustration, drawing, photographic montage, typographic composition or a combination of the above. Eligible Participants 1. Eastern Africa* Open to citizens of United Republic of Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Mozambique, Madagascar, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Comoros, Mauritius, Seychelles, Runion, and Mayotte only 2. Western Africa* Open to citizens of Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote dIvoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Saint Helena, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo only. 3. Central Africa* Open to citizens of Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, So Tom and Prncipe only. 4. Northern Africa* Open to citizens of Algeria, Egypt, Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Morocco, South Sudan, Sudan, Tunisia and Western Sahara only 5. Southern Africa* Open to citizens of Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa and Swaziland only. 6. India* Open to Indian citizens and Non resident Indians only Awards Cash Prize of US$ 1000 for three winners from each region* 1. Eastern Africa 2. Western Africa 3. Central Africa 4. Rules of Participation Eligibility he participant must ensure he/she registers and submits for the correct category of contest T eg: Eastern African, Southern African etc. Submission in an incorrect category will lead to disqualification . andidates must be under the age of 35 years as on 31st December, 2012. Proof of the same C will be required at the time of submission. articipation is open to individuals only. P Technical Criteria ll artworks to be prepared at 300dpi actual size - A2 International Size (510mm height A x 420mm width) portrait/tall format. However the submission needs to be sent in as a low-resolution PDF file also at 100dpi actual size (510mm x 420mm) n entry (inclusive of all files submitted) should not exceed 10 MBs. A he design entry must be accompanied by a concise concept note in English, not exceeding T 500 words. The note must explain the thought behind the artwork. he designs entries should not be marked with any form of identification (name, logo, etc.). T Entries will be disqualified if they are marked. he submitted work must not contain material offensive to any particular community, group, T individual or institution. mages used for the posters must not violate copyright laws. I lements taken from free sources must be acknowledged in the submission. E ubmitted entries must be original and not published earlier. S ntries submitted previously in other competitions.will not be considered eligible for entry E and will face immediate disqualification. ntries that have previously been awarded at other competitions will not be considered eligible E for entry and will face immediate disqualification. ll submissions must carry an accompanying Letter of Acknowledgement, giving credit to A information sources, image resources etc., wherever applicable.
