SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the virtual services librarian and other library staff with the maintenance and development of the library website, SIRSI ILS system and other library system applications. Specific responsibilities include: maintaining the existing website and supporting the transition to a Drupal implementation; liaising with eresource vendors to troubleshoot access issues; troubleshooting on SIRSI system issues and ensuring that the SIRSI system and software upgrades are communicated; maintaining and developing the digital archives database. Other duties include general reference and information services and class instruction. In addition the incumbent will need to work shifts change as required. Hours of Work: 35 hours per week Skill Testing Required: YES

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have a community college library technician diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable to Humber. Minimum of one year's experience in a library environment providing website development and systems support is required. Proven knowledge and experience with HTML is required. Experience with web authoring tools and content management systems such as Drupal is desirable. Familiarity with Google Analytics is an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required. In addition the successful candidate will have demonstrated analytical ability, initiative and problem solving skills. Effective interpersonal skills are needed to develop effective working relationships among staff and with vendors. This posting is directed to the Humbers internal full-time employees.
