History
Established in 1977, GBA Products Limited is based out of the United Arab Emirates and registers in the Isle of Man, U.K. The Company was founded and is headed by its Managing Director Mr. Ram Kini. Operations initially consisted of providing a reliable supply chain of construction materials in the U.A.E. and its neighbouring states. GBA (Gulf Bitumen & Asphalt) found early success with supplying bitumen and cement to major civil infrastructure projects, and started marketing bitumen from major refineries into Gulf & African countries. GBA Products is an accepted vendor by the United Nations Organizations and African Development Bank. The company has now been providing supplies of cement and bitumen to UN funded projects in Africa for decades decades. Seeking to grow the business organically GBA starting trading in commodities and providing technical equipment to related industries, such as Oil & Gas, Pipe coating, Marine, Chemicals etc. As a result operations have rapidly diversified to a wide range of industries. This has lead to association and support from over 50 internationally reputed manufacturers and industrial houses that GBA works both in the Gulf and around the world. Today the companys turnover is close to $60 million (US Dollars) annually with an average growth rate of 10% year on year. This success has been due to a growing base of satisfied customers, and GBA has always maintained that its relationships with its customers and the good will built through support provided is the best possible competitive advantage.

Headquarters

The main office is located inside the Jebel Ali Port & Free Zone(near berths 3444). Being located in duty free area with world class logistical facilities allows GBA to make full use of its location at a area, global trading and transportation hub. In addition to the offices there is 1,200 square meters of shop floor and 3,800square meters of open paved storage area. The premises holds both a trading and manufacturing licenses. The yard is serviced with forklifts with trained operators. GBA also h ld a 3 600 square meters of warehousing f iliti i Al A l hold 3,600 t f h i facilities in Aweer (H tt O (Hatta Oman Hi h Highway) ) with an additional 12,000 square meters of open storage that is serviced by a small office and forklifts. Representatives for the company are also based out of Shanghai, China and Bangalore, India where the company plans to open a liaison office.

GBA has had a long standing association with Faudi Aviation carried over from previous activity in Saudi Arabia, and was made responsible for marketing for the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in 1999. Having achieved success and recognising the potential for growth in the aviation industry in the Gulf the company decided to diversify further in field of servicing inter y g plane refuellers . Ajac Fuelling Components entrusted GBA for their sales and marketing operations in the Gulf, and based on achievements in gaining market share GBA has been made the distributor for Aljac in the Gulf, which includes in its portfolio, AveryHardoll (Meggitt Fuelling Products) and Hammonds Additive Systems. GBA Has recently started working with Alfons Haar, a company with a long history in the industry and specialists in non standard engineered solutions. With a greatly expanded portfolio of capabilities, GBA is continually consolidating itself as key supplier of refuelling products and solutions in the Middle East. The companys efforts in developing its assigned territories has allowed for a progressive and rapid growth in its role in the industry regionally.
