Its thoughtful design and sensitivity to the landscape and local ecology earned this new community gathering place a Maryland/DC NAIOP Award of Excellence for Best Institutional Facility.

U.S. Federal Courthouse for the Southern Maryland District

Greenbelt, MD Size: Cost: Year: Firm: Role: 120,000 SF $15 Million (estimate) 2003 through 2008 (various projects) PSA Dewberry Designer, Project Architect, Project Manager New construction and renovation projects to complete a ten-year housing plan developed under a term contract with the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. Projects include two new district courtrooms, judges chambers, expansion and relocation of Clerk of Court, and new Jury Assembly area.

East Patrick Street Redevelopment

An unsolicited mixed-use development proposal to the City of Frederick, this study explores development options for underutilized parcels of land located adjacent to the citys commercial and governmental center. The development would enhance pedestrian access to a city canal, provide new high density residential, commercial areas, retail grocery, parking garages, and hotel and convention center, while enhancing the historic character of the area.

Includes 18 Court of Common Pleas courtrooms, 10 Domestic Relations hearing rooms, district courtroom, clerks office, Prothonotary, Probations, Public Defender, Sheriffs Office, District Attorney, Jury Assembly, and incustody defendant holding areas.
