Overview of the Report/Survey/Book This research paper assess the incidence of government spending on health in Pakistan at provincial, both rural and urban level; using the primary data of the Pakistan Social Standard Living Measures Survey (PSLM), 2004-05 and reviews the national policies emphasizing health services as well as the trend in access to and public sector spending on healthcare facilities in Pakistan. The survey was conducted to identify the population and health issues, and provides guidance in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating health and population programmes in Pakistan. The 2006-07 PDHS includes topics related to fertility levels and determinants, family planning, fertility preferences, infant, child and maternal mortality and their causes, maternal and child health, immunization and nutritional status of mothers and children, knowledge of HIV/AIDS, and malaria. This book covers the challenge of health care reform in advanced and emerging economies, cross-country case studies and case studies of advanced and emerging markets. The purpose of this report is to assess the banking and financial needs of Private Sector Hospitals in Pakistan. The report is based on the survey conducted with the market participants and provide key information of the industry. This paper address the pressing health needs of the country. Issues discussed are health systems reform in the country, propose a direction for reforms and emphasize the need for an evidence-based approach to reforms. The Pharmaceutical Sector in Pakistan

This report contains the changes made under the 18th amendment related to the health sector and its impact on the institutional arrangements in HeartFile, Pakistan the health sector, health policy & regulations. Other key issues discussed are health financing, service delivery, human resources for health and medicines and related products. European Commission As part of the European Union (EU) Trade-related Technical Assistance (TRTA) programme for Pakistan, a study has been undertaken of the Pakistan pharmaceuticals sector to identify the export opportunities and threats, to examine the implications of the WTO Agreements on the sector and to make recommendations on how the industry could make a better use of the international trading conditions created by the WTO. The purpose of this study was to make an inventory of the sector, looking at its relevance to Pakistan, including production processes, pricing and turnover performance, and export performance. The study also looks at the regulatory environment affecting the pharmaceutical industry.
