Dr S Neil APAK Petroleum Geoscientist (MSc. MSc., PhD.

) PERSONAL DETAILS Citizenship Location Australian, Turkish Australia

FIELD OF EXPERTISE Over twenty five years of experience as a Petroleum Geologist, exploration and development experience (both oil and gas) in diverse petroleum provinces worldwide (Exploration- Development) in Turkey (Thrace Basin, Salt Lake Basin, Sivas Basin, Malatya Basin, South Eastern Turkey), USA (Michigan Basin), Australia (Cooper, Eromanga, Warburton, Canning and Officer Basins), Kyrgyzstan and Myanmar (Andaman Basin, Martaban Basin and Rakhine offshore areas) and Bulgaria. A substantial portion of my past work included basin analysis (Mature and Frontier Basins), Development / Exploration geology (conventional & unconventional) , carbonate rocks (including dolomitic reservoirs) depositional environments, diagenesis, core analysis, field/license evaluation, sequence stratigraphy, , structural geology, siliciclastic rocks depositional systems, well logs, volumetrics, risk assessments. I have developed innovative regional to field scale play ideas in many of these basins. Most of my work have been compiled and published as comprehensive reports within the organizations or as scientific papers elsewhere.
Other key competencies include ; Collaborate within the team and carry out new venture activity. Expert on finding stratigraphic traps Farm-in/ out opportunities Integrate G&G and engineering data at basin and prospect scale.

Geological field study.

Personal strengths: a good communicator and team player; results-focussed oriented, creative; enthusiastic about technical work; proven team coordination and skills for training junior geoscientist; easy-going personality. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Senior Explorationist/Basin studies TRANSATLANTIC PETROLEUM 2008-Present Detailed Petroleum System analysis (Basin Analysis) including field mapping of Tertiary Frontier Basins in Central Anatolia, Development Geology, and Unconventional projects in Thrace Basin (tight sansdstones & shales) and Paleozoic Dadas Shale in SE Turkey. Main responsibilities were to identify potentials for Paleocene reefal plays, sub salt, and turbiditic plays in Salt Lake, Sivas, and both conventional and unconventional Mesozoic and Paleozoic successions in SE Turkey and Tertiary Thrace Basin and hydrothermal dolomitic reservoirs in Bulgaria then make recommendations. Farm out and Farm in

activities, presentations to clients, Training Junior G&G and Engineers. Chief Geologist RIMBUNAN PETROGAS Ltd. 2007-April, 2008 -Off shore Exploration in Myanmar Detailed G&G studies to evaluate hydrocarbon potential deep water clastics for two offshore blocks in Myanmar. Using all available data, petroleum systems (structural and depositional history and source rock/charge potential) have been analysed for both areas for particularly deep water-submarine fan deposits, turbidites and reefoidal carbonate plays. Senior Development Geologist SANTOS Ltd. 2002- 2007 Adelaide SA, Australia The main responsibilities are to reveal further hydrocarbon potential and to generate new play styles for further development activities within the Cooper Basin. I have very good experience/ideas for finding channel plays/trends within stratigraphic plays with excellent proven results. As a team , work include geological, seismic, sequence/seismic stratigraphic, structural, palynology, core and log studies, risk analysis to evaluate the field potential. My main assignment was to develop several poorly producing fields in the Cooper Basin. I have produced new mid-flank model that became major method to identify fluvio-deltaic channels within stratigraphic play concept. As a results production from these fields were increased significantly in the Cooper Basin. Senior Basin Analyst GSWA 1995-2002 As an Interior Basins Team, our responsibilities were to reveal the sequence stratigraphic/structural evolution and petroleum potential of the Permo-Carboniferous reefal carbonate and clastic successions in the Canning Basin and the Neoproterozoic siliciclastic /carbonate successions in the Officer Basin. These projects involve in detail structural, stratigraphic, seismic studies, well logs, core analysis, geochemical analysis, palynology, and field studies (mainly measure sections) to define sequence boundaries and incorporate genetic facies time-framework to the basins structural framework. The main purpose is to apply multi disciplinary approach as a team to identify regional reservoir trends and play types within the basin and to predict timing of oil and gas generation in conjunction with structuring. NCPGG / SANTOS Ltd. 1990-1994 Basin Analyst / PhD project The ultimate aim was to provide a basin model, based on both structural and stratigraphic analysis, designed to assess factors which influenced the distribution of known sandstone reservoirs and to identify play styles and hydrocarbon fairways within the basin. To achieve the objectives, well, seismic and palynological data were examined and reinterpreted on a field by field basis to establish a rock and time unit frameworks to evaluate structural influence on depositional patterns in each time period. Development Geologist/Carbonate Geologist TURKISH PETROLEUM CORPORATION, ANKARA, 1985- 1988 Carried out basin analysis projects. Work included stratigraphic, sedimentary facies (core, sidewall core, thin section and well log analysis) and seismic analysis of the productive carbonate reservoirs, Mardin Group, SE Turkey. Purpose of the project was to reveal its hydrocarbon potential, generate prospects and exploration programs. Also concentrated on subsurface evaluation of the productive Upper Cretaceous reefoidal

Sinan and Karababa Formations in Firat and West Firat Fields, SE Turkey, to better understanding facies response to sea level changes and ultimately improved facies and porosity prediction. This work was also based on intensive core, thin section and well logs analysis of carbonates that were intersected by exploration and development wells Well-site and Exploration Geologist TURKISH PETROLEUM CORPORATION, ANKARA, 1976-1981 Supervision of exploration wells in Salt Lake Basin, Central Anatolia and SE Turkey. Duties were also includeded Salt Lake and Haymana Basins analysis projects.
