(maximum 4 co-authors) Name and SURNAME (surname in capital letters) of the co-author 5 Abstract This is an instruction for the preparation of a paper for the XV Intern ational Scientific-expert Conference on Railways RAILCON 12, which will be held i n Ni, Serbia on October 04 05, 2012. The paper should be written in English and p repared according to this guideline with applied styles. The whole paper should be at most on 4 pages A4 (even number recommended) for the Conference hard-copy Proceedings. For the electronic version of the Conference Proceedings on the Con ference CD it is possible, along with the version for the Conference hard-copy p roceedings, to send an extended version of the paper. The paper should be classi fied in one of the Conference topics. The paper in the electronic format (MICROS OFT WORD file) should be submitted online at the Conference web page http://zelk on.masfak.ni.ac.rs/. The deadline for the camera ready paper submission is July 15th, 2012. On two extra pages, after the last page of the paper, please supply information about the paper and authors, as it is given in this guidline. One pa rticipant can be author or co-author on maximum two papers at the Conference. No tification of the paper acceptance will be visible as the status of the paper on online Conference submission system up to September 1st, 2012. All submitted pa pers will be peer reviewed. Only presented papers with paid registration fees wi ll be published in the Conference Proceedings. Selected papers will be published in the special issue of International Journal FACTA UNIVERSITATIS. Keywords - Four key words suggested. At least one of them should be from the fie ld of railway. 1. INTRODUCTION Use option mirror margins. Margins: upper, lower and left 20 mm, right 15 mm. Text should be divided onto two columns (85 mm wide) with 5 mm spacing between colum ns. Columns should be justified. Text in whole paper should be in Times New Roma n, font size 11 pt, unless it is not noted otherwise. Use single spacing. Retrac t first line by 5 mm. No empty lines between paragraphs. 1.1. Important notice The usage of the given styles is strongly recommended, which can easily be used as templates; all the mentioned styles are built in this text. 2. THE FIRST PAGE OF THE PAPER At first page, 40 mm from upper edge, the title of the paper, bold, 16 pt, cente red, all caps (up to 15 words). Beneath the title, type the name and surname (su rname in capital letters, centered) of the author and in the following lines the names and surnames (surnames in capital letters, centered) of co-authors should be given. After that type the abstract (up to 200 words) in italic. After the abstract typ e keywords in bold italic. Both of this with left and right margins 10 mm in. Go on to the two columns formatting and start with the paper body text. The pape r should be prepared according to the explanations provided in Table 1. At the bottom of the page, in Footer, names of the author and co-authors with ti tles, companies, addresses and e-mails.

Page Layout The main body of the text should be written in t wo columns, each left and right justified. The width of column is 85 mm and spac ing between columns is 5 mm. 5. Font Text in whole paper should be in Times New Roman, 11 pt, unless it isnt noted otherwise. 3. TABLES, FIGURES AND PROGRAM LISTINGS 3.1. Tables Tables should be presented in the form shown in Table 1. The title of the table should be numbered and written above the table (italic). After the table use 6 p oint space. If a table is too wide to fit into one column (85 mm), you can put i t in one page width column (175 mm). If a table is too long to fit into one page , the table number and headings should be repeated on the next page before the t able is continued. Alternatively, the table can be spread over two consecutive p ages turned 90 without repeating the headings. 3.2. Figures The title of the figure should be numbered and written below the figure (centere d, italic). All notations and lettering should be no less than 2 mm high. The us e of heavy black, bold lettering should be avoided as they will look unpleasantl y dark when printed. Pictures should be inserted in the paper as JPEG or TIFF fo rmat (resolution at least 300 dpi). Fig.1. Good quality figure with clear lettering Fig.2. Bad quality, distorted figure with too small letters 3.3. Program listings Program listings should be fitted into single column (85 mm). If that is not eno ugh, the whole width of the page can be used, after which the text should contin ue in two columns again. 4. EQUATIONS The equations should fit in a single column, but if necessary, the preceding rul e is valid. The numeration should be right justified, like: (1) 5. CONCLUSIONS The chapter Conclusion which summarizes the paper is obligatory. At the end of t he last page of the paper quote references. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT If the paper is done within the framework of a project it is necessary to provid e the name of the project and the institution that provided the funding.
