1. STATEMENT OF ORIGINALITY 2. ABSTRACT The system to be developed will help in the management of the different services offered in the hotel. We will come up with the system that will enable the system administrator to give different authorization to different system users. It will also help the hotel manager to view the progress in the hotel, check the records made from different departments. i.e. saloon manager, sports and recreation manager, and health and services manager. The system will enable the accountant to generate receipts for the payment made by the customers according to the services offered. Moreover receptionist will register customers; add extra orders made, and store the records in database.

3. INTRODUCTION The recent advancement of technology has made access to computers and internet connectivity easy and cheap. This has led to many organizations moving their legacy pen and paper system to the internet or the cloud in order to cut costs and increase customer experience by offering their services over the internet. Due to that there are systems that are being developed that will make the offering of services in hotel to be ease. The system will resolve a lot of difficulties witnessed in the hotel sector. The system will also be user friendly during insertion of information to the database. The hotel will be offering food, drinks and if so required, sleeping accommodation, without special contract to any traveller presenting himself who appears able and willing to pay a reasonable sum for the services and facilities provided and who is in a fit state to be received. Hotel is a place where all who conduct themselves properly, and who being able to pay and ready to pay for there entertainment, are received, if there be accommodation for them, who without any stipulated engagement as to the duration of their stay or as to the compensation, are while there, supplied at reasonable cause with there meals, lodging and other services and attention as are necessarily incident to the use as a temporary home. Hotel is defined by

British law as a place where a bonafide travelers can receive food and shelter, provided he/she is in a position to pay for and is in a fit condition to be received. A Hotel may also be defined as an establishment whose primary business is providing lodging facilities for the general public and which furnishes one or more of the following services (a) Food and Beverage service (b) Room service (c) Sports and recreation service (d) Health service (e) Saloon and barber shop services.

4. SYSTEM ANALYSIS 5. EXISTING SYSTEM Through the information that we gathered and the investigation about the existing system we found that it was a manual system. It is cost is a bit high because it keeps data through paper. It takes a lot of time for one to get information. The following are some of the difficulties of the existing system. It is difficult for manager to view reports from different department. Time is wasted in allocating different services in the hotel. The accountant usually has to gather every information from various departments in order to generate receipts of customers. A lot of time is wasted like in the recreation department, since theres no proper allocation of time.

6. PROPOSED SYSTEM The system to build will enable the management to take care of the services different hotels offers to its customers. The following are some of the things the proposed system will contain. Our team decided to develop a new system that will help the hotel sector to manage its services effectively. It will ensure friendliness to its customers through the consultation of the reception. It will contain more storage capacity. It will allow the accountant to generate receipts for services customers have ordered. The only thing for the accountant is to query information from database of different departments. Data access will be high since only what is needed is to retrieve information from database. It will save time since the information will be readily available from the database. It will enable the manager to view all the information of the company from various departments. The only thing the manager has to do is to request data from various databases of various departments. It will allow time allocation to different services in the hotel. E.g in sports department different services being offered. Errors will be reduced.

7. FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS Technical feasibility Members of our team were familiar with java and mysql; we decided to develop our system through java. It does not require complex hardware and software.

Economical feasibility The system to be developed will help the hotel management sectors in the following ways. Enable the sports department the kind of services that is available in a particular time. The system will benefit the hotel management to know the progress of the hotel services. It will reduce costs that are being incurred through paper work. It will ease time for the hotel manager to view the progress of the company. He /She only request information from different database of departments. It will increase profits to the hotel. Organizational feasibility

20. CONCLUSION Computer has got clear advantage over the manual system. The computerized system is more reliable, efficient and fast at the end of the project, I can say that computer play a very crucial role in the development of firm. All the daily reports generated by the system are to be checked by the concerned official so as to ensure that all the transactions have been put through in appropriate accounts and this is tallied with the new vouchers. Computer does maximum work with in minimum time. Because it is used in every field so that it provides comfort and suitability to

everyone. Providing maximum facilities and comfort to customers to customers is main goal of the firm. To achieve this goal, other modern facilities relating to computer should have to be provided 21. BIBLIOGRAPHY
