Speaker Biographies
Fayha Sultan, Marketing Manager, Dubai Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DTCM). Prior to joining the DTCM she worked for the UAE Embassy in London for 10 years in a range of industry sectors including politics, media and commerce. Graeme Francis Mullin, Energy & Environment Lead joined the UKTI section at the British Embassy in Abu Dhabi as a Trade & Investment Advisor in 2008 specialising in the Energy Sector, Oil & Gas, Renewables and Nuclear. Graeme has a wide background in environmental and climate change sustainability, Nadia Rinawi, Head of International Offices at RAK FTZ graduated in international business management (with focus on the MENA region) and has been working with RAK Free Trade Zone Authority for over 6 years. Since then Nadia has gained extensive knowledge and experience in advising foreign companies about market entry strategies in the UAE as well as company set-ups. RAK Free Trade Zone Authority/ Government of Ras Al Khaimah - Established in 2000, RAK FTZ is one of the fastest-growing and most cost effective free trade zones in the UAE and home to over 5,000 active companies. With its reputation for affordability, flexibility and broad geographical reach, RAK FTZ is rapidly emerging as the preferred business hub in the region, from which investors, of all origins and industries can easily access and branch into the emerging markets. Sandra Thornber, International Trade Associate, UKTI North West has worked for UKTI for the past 11 years. Sandras main focus is on assisting North West businesses to trade in the Middle East and she is the UKTI North West specialist for the United Arab Emirates. Although she works with companies across a wide range of sectors, her main focus is on the Construction, Education & Training and Equine sectors. Angela Bates, Senior Promotion Executive, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi), has worked for TCA Abu Dhabi since its inception in the UK in 2006, initially overseeing the business, meetings, exhibitions and conference sectors. Since the organisations rapid growth, she now undertakes business development and fulfilling the role of UK Country Manager.
