What is Islam?
The name of the religious belief is Islam, which comes from an Arabic origin word meaning "peace" and "submission." Islam teaches that one can only find peace in one's life by submitting to Almighty God (Allah) in heart, soul and deeds. The same Arabic root word gives us "Salaam alaykum," ("Peace be with you"), the universal Muslim greeting. 1400 years later a man came. Who believes in one God and who spread the message of one Allah. The one who was itself the message of peace. He came and tied up all tribes (tribes which were made on the bases of color and status) in one nation, the nation who believes on Allah, the nation who believes on peace and harmony, the nation who wants equality. The name of that man is MUHAMMAD (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam). He is the last prophet of Muslim ummah. Peace in society depends on peace within us. According to Prophet Muhammad: we must promote the sense of honesty within ourselves by creating harmony between our emotions of anger and greediness on one the hand, and our reason and intelligence on the other hand; between the physical measurement and the religious measurement. A just person is one who controls his anger and his greed by the power of reasoning. This act of controlling ones anger and greed by the power of reason has been described by Prophet Muhammad as the major jihad. Once, when the Muslim army returned to Medina from its mission, the Prophet greeted the soldiers by saying, Welcome to the people who have performed the minor jihad, and have yet to go through a major jihad. According to our holy prophet peace can be created on different levels. For example: Peace with non-Muslims. Peace with neighbors. Peace with enemies in the battle field. All of the above description shows clearly that Islam is the most peaceful religion. Propose of giving the definition of Islam and giving peaches of our dear Holy prophet MUHAMMAD (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) is because that we can elaborate about relation of peace and Islam, and we can prove that Islam is not a religion of terrorism.

The famous prayer taught to us by the Family of the Prophet: O Allah, You are the peace, from You emanates the peace and to You shall the peace return. ___________________________________________
k11-2034
Misbehavior and wickedness are condemned in several o verses and Muslims are commanded to work completely for peace. Islam draws attention to factors which tend to disturb or destroy peace and order, and deprecate them. Domination of one group by another in the domestic sphere, or of one people by another in the international sphere is a potent cause of disturbance of peace and is therefore strongly condemned. Economic exploitation of one people or country by another inexorably leads to domination by the exploiters, and develops into a potential threat to peace. The Holy Quran prohibits such exploitation and an economy based on exploitation cannot be beneficial in its consequences, nor can it endure. Islam visualizes an association of strong and stable states allied together in the pursuance of peace, freedom of conscience and the promotion of human welfare. Treaties or covenants between nations may have to be drawn up which should be done in a straightforward language and should not be evaded or repudiated under the temptation of securing some advantage. In case of difficulties and disputes, it is the duty of Muslims to bring about a peaceful settlement and adjustment. The Holy Quran teaches that God has sent His revelation to all people from time to time. Many of prophets of the Old Testament are mentioned by name and so is Jesus who with other prophets is honored and revered by all Muslims. Indeed, the Quran requires belief in the truth of all these prophets. Islam is thus unique and distinct in requiring an affirmation in all prophets wherever they appeared and therefore it seeks to bring about reconciliation between the followers of different faiths and to establish a basis of respect and honor among them. The Qur'an is no gun or weapon of war. It is a book of ideology. In such a situation asking people to struggle by means of the Qur'an signifies to strive by means of ideology. That is to say, to work hard to conquer people's hearts and minds by the superior ideology of Islam. In the light of this Quran explanation, it would be true to say that jihad, in fact, is another name for peaceful activism or nonviolent activism, that is to say, if qital is violent activism, jihad is non-violent activism. Yet from the Islamic point of view it is the only way. This fact also becomes clear from the idea of the creation. According to Islamic teaching, the world is not subject to randomness and limit, but to the order of the Creator's plans. If we travel the path of peace, we help to set up the original order of creation. From this point of view the order of the world and its peace are in our hands. The family of mankind is now urged to fight dangers which threaten us all, and to work for world peace. As far as the role of religions is concerned, they should see their task in creating world peace. Peace is the love of God, his Justice and Mercy. What else do they strive for? Therefore, if we all try to make a contribution to world peace, we are making a contribution to a just order of the world. For in an intelligent and just world order, peace simply arises within the world. ______________________________________________________

Quran (2:191-193) - "And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers]... but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah."
Quran (2:244) - "Then fight in the cause of Allah, and know that Allah Heareth and knoweth all things."
Quran (2:216) - "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not." Not only does this verse establish that violence can be virtuous, but it also contradicts the myth that fighting is intended only in self-defense, since the audience was obviously not under attack at the time. From the Hadith, we know that this verse was narrated at a time that Muhammad was actually trying to motivate his people into raiding merchant caravans for loot.
Quran (3:56) - "As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help."

Quran (3:151) - "Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority". This speaks directly of polytheists, yet it also includes Christians, since they believe in the Trinity (i.e. what Muhammad incorrectly believed to be 'joining companions to Allah').
Quran (21:44) - "We gave the good things of this life to these men and their fathers until the period grew long for them; See they not that we gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? Is it then they who will win?"
Quran (48:17) - "There is no blame for the blind, nor is there blame for the lame, nor is there blame for the sick (that they go not forth to war). And whoso obeyeth Allah and His messenger, He will make him enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow; and whoso turneth back, him will He punish with a painful doom." Contemporary apologists sometimes claim that Jihad means 'spiritual struggle.' Is so, then why are the blind, lame and sick exempted?
Quran (25:52) - "Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness..." "Strive against" is Jihad - obviously not in the personal context. It's also significant to point out that this is a Meccan verse.
Quran (47:35) - "Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost (Shakir: "have the upper hand") for Allah is with you,"
Quran (66:9) - "O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. Hell will be their home, a hapless journey's end." The root word of "Jihad" is used again here. The context is clearly holy war, and the scope of violence is broadened to include "hypocrites" - those who call themselves Muslims but do not act as such. Quran (61:4) - "Surely Allah loves those who fight in His way Religion of Peace, indeed! This is followed by (61:9): "He it is who has sent His Messenger (Mohammed) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islam) to make it victorious over all religions even though the infidels may resist."

Quran (47:35) - "Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost (Shakir: "have the upper hand") for Allah is with you,"
Quran (48:29) - "Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard (ruthless) against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves Islam is not about treating everyone equally. There are two very distinct standards that are applied based on religious status.
Quran (9:88) - "But the Messenger, and those who believe with him, strive and fight with their wealth and their persons: for them are (all) good things: and it is they who will prosper."

Prophetic Narrations: Whoever kills a person who has a truce with the Muslims will never smell the fragrance of Paradise.(Saheeh Muslim)
Beware! Whoever is cruel and hard on a non-Muslim minority, or curtails their rights, or burdens them with more than they can bear, or takes anything from them against their free will; I (Prophet Muhammad) will complain against the person on the Day of Judgment. (Abu Dawud)

The Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah Muslim (1:33)
- The Prophet... was asked whether it was permissible to attack the pagan warriors at night with the probability of exposing their women and children to danger. The Prophet replied, "They (i.e. women

and children) are from them (i.e. pagans)." In this command, Muhammad establishes that it is permissible to kill non-combatants in the process of killing a perceived enemy. This provides justification for the many Islamic terror bombings. Bukhari (52:256)

The struggle waged by Muslims of Palestine, Chechnya and Sinkiang cannot be called 'terrorism'. That is a legitimate resistance against aggressors and oppressors for securing their just rights. Terrorism in the true sense of the word is an aggressive act against innocent persons, without legitimacy. The aim is to frighten them. Acts of similar type may be committed by individual, group, nation or the country that may be classified as terrorist activity, if the aim is to terrorize the common person or the opponent for achieving certain ends. That type of terrorism has no place in Islamic Shariah. The Holy Quran makes it explicit that killing an innocent person is equivalent to killing the whole humankind.
When we look at Islamic history, we can see clearly how Muslims established this important precept of the moral teaching of the Qur'an in their social life. At every point in their advance, Muslims destroyed unlawful practices and created a free and tolerant environment. In the areas of religion, language and culture, they made it possible for people totally opposite to each other to live under the same roof in freedom and peace, thereby giving to those subject to them the advantages of knowledge, wealth and position. Likewise, one of the most important reasons that the large and widespread Ottoman Empire was able to sustain its existence for so many centuries was that its way of life was directed by the tolerance and understanding brought by Islam. For centuries Muslims have been characterized by their tolerance and compassion. In every period of time they have been the most just and merciful of people. All ethnic groups within this multi-national community freely practiced the religions they have followed for years and enjoyed every opportunity to live in their own cultures and worship in their own way. It is obligatory upon the Muslims, all of them, that they honor their agreements, and they honor their contracts, and that they speak truthfully when they speak. The true Muslim is not treacherous, and he is not deceitful, and he does not lie, and he does not oppress. This is what Islam teaches and this is something this is clear from the religion. As for those activities such as bombing and what is similar, they distort the true religion of Islam and they ascribe to Islam which in reality is not from it. Because verily the true Muslims, those who understand the reality of the religion of Islam, in every place, they hate and reject and they criticize these criminal acts and they warn against them. And they warn against those people who call to these acts. And the Muslims in every place feel sorry and sad when they hear about the affairs of these criminal activities no matter where they occur or happen upon the earth. Whether it takes place in the Muslim world or whether it takes place in other than the Muslim world. And our scholars have clarified and clearly explained, with clear clarifications which are strong and emphatic, that these types

of acts are not from Islam. And the scholars in truth they should be returned to. ____________________________________________________

harm America as no one has harmed it throughout its history. and that Iran's aim is to cover up its involvement in the invading of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Another theory of conspiracy which had been created by the non-Muslims is as follows: A Channel 4 News survey of 500 British Muslims, carried out by GFK NOP, has found that nearly a quarter don't believe the four men identified as the London bombers were responsible for the attacks. And a similar number say the government or the security services were involved. Nearly six in ten of those polled believe the government hasn't told the whole truth about the July the 7th bombings - and more than half say the intelligence services have made up evidence to convict terrorist suspects. The findings come as Tony Blair told a London conference that the "true voice of Islam" needed to be heard - to isolate the extremists. The Prime Minister went on to say that that most Muslims wanted to be "loyal citizens", despite the "disproportionate" public attention given to what he called "small, unrepresentative groups" of radicals. In this exclusive report, Darshna Soni reveals the full findings of our survey - and talks to Muslims throughout England. The Survey Channel 4 News, with GFK NOP, has commissioned a survey to reveal the Muslim community's attitudes towards the 'official narrative' surrounding the 7/7 bombings revealing that: 59% of the 500 people polled believe that the government has not told the public the whole truth about the 7th July bombings. 52% believe that the British security services have "made up" evidence to convict terrorist suspects. 24% believe the four men identified as the July 7th bombers were not actually responsible for the attacks. 68% believe that the Muslim community does not bear any responsibility for the emergence of extremists willing to attack UK targets. Although 58% felt that the community should be doing more

That is why in ancient times prophetic movements could go no further ahead than the stage of dawah. No sooner would a movement based on monotheism arise than the coercive political system would be activated to pull it out by its roots. The reason for the absence of any historical record of prophets (besides the Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him) in antiquity is traceable to the intense opposition of these coercive political systems. All the Prophets of ancient times, historically speaking, were like mythical beings, rather than real human beings accepted as historical figures. The Prophet Jesus was the last link in the chain of these persecutions faced by the preachers of monotheism. Then God decreed the abolition of this coercive political system, even if it entailed the use of force in order that the age of religious persecution might be brought to an end forever, and replaced by the age of religious freedom. This divine plan was brought to completion through the Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him) and his companions. This is the command given in the Quran: Fight them until there be no persecution and religion be wholly God. (8:39) Therefore the Prophet Muhammad received special divine succor in the form of a powerful team consisting of more than one hundred thousand individuals. Equipped with this team the Prophet waged war to end this coercive system of religious persecution, and it was in Arabia that it was first of all overthrown. Then within a very short span of time, they advanced to abolish the coercive system established by the Sassanid and Byzantine empires. In the wake of this Islamic action, the coercive system was abolished forever in the major part of the inhabited world of the time. This war waged by the Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him) and his companions was not a war as is commonly understood, but rather a divine operation, which was carried out by a people who possessed a high standard of moral character. However, this operation was certainly only temporary in nature. Its goal was to put an end to the age of religious persecution and usher in the age of religious freedom. This end was fully achieved during the early period of Islam, the age of the pious Caliphs. Afterwards the time came to keep the sword in its sheath and engage in dawah work, that is, the call to God, which was the real and permanent goal of Islam. According to the explicit command of the Quran, the call to God is the true and eternal mission of Islam, whereas war is only temporary and allowed only in exceptional cases.
