Disabled facilities Facilities for people who have disabilities include full level access, toilet facilities for wheelchair users and hearing loops. Guide dogs and registered service dogs are welcome. We appreciate advance notice if customers will be arriving in wheelchairs so that arrangements can be made. Customers with a disability are entitled to the concession price when available. Party discounts If you purchase 20 or more tickets for a Platform show you will receive 1 free ticket. No other special offer can be used with this offer and discounts do not apply to workshops. School parties are entitled to the concessionary rate and one adult/teacher per 10 children will be admitted free. Ask at the box office at the time of booking. Buses A regular service runs along the Promenade with a bus stop outside the venue. For bus timetable enquiries call: 08712 002 233. Car parking There are public car parks adjacent to the venue. Parking free after 6pm. Bike The Platform is just at the end of the Lancaster and Morecambe Greenway a shared use path that connects Morecambe to Lancaster. The venue is easily accessible from Morecambe Promenade which you can now cycle the full length. Cycle parking is available outside. Have your own event hosted at the Platform The Platform is available to hire at reasonable cost for all events including parties, weddings, receptions, conferences and meetings. RuBy TuRNeR Ruby is one of the UKs finest soul singers. She has had seven hit singles including Id Rather Go Blind, Its Gonna Be Alright and Im Travelling On. For the last few years Ruby has been one of the star attractions on Jools Hollands New Year Hootenanny show. T.RexTASy The Get it on 40th anniversary tour 2011 Now T.REXTASY - the only band endorsed and approved by Marc Bolans family, estate and management - will be playing homage to Bolans biggest hits, such as Ride a White Swan, Jeepster, Hot Love, 20th Century Boy, Telegram Sam, Metal Guru, I Love To Boogie, Children of the Revolution, and of course Get it On. T.REXTASY recreate live, the music, the performance and the incredible atmosphere of those heady and outrageous glam rock times. SwiNg COMMANDeRS A hugely talented, high-energy British band who wow listeners and dancers through its unique presentation of some of the finest music from the 30s, 40s and 50s. THe HAMSTeRS PlAy JiMi HeNDRix, ZZ TOP AND THe HAMSTeRS! Now into their 25th year and on their farewell tour, the guitar, bass and drums trio The Hamsters have long been established as a premier Blues-Rock attraction, having performed 4,500 concerts in their time together. Although usually playing their own brand of rootsy Rock, Blues and Americana - tonight theyll be performing an evening of Jimi Hendrix and ZZ Top songs. Theyll include some Hamsters material as well. BOOTleg SixTieS The Overtures have devised a special concert, suitably titled The Bootleg Sixties. This fully self contained two hour plus show is packed with great music from all the classic artists of the decade, and is back-dropped by fantastic visual footage, including archive material from Morecambe. Add in some fab 60s costumes and, of course, The Overtures own inimitable performance, and youve got a show which is sure to delight audiences of all ages. Saturday 14 April 7.30pm 16.

lATeR wiTH JOOlS NeTHeRlAND Later with Jools Netherland is a fantastic live music night with six of the areas prodigious bands across three separate stages a non-stop mini festival. An eclectic mix of Ska/Reggae, Blues Rock, Folk, World Music, and Hip Hop Funk Rock featuring: The Reggie Mental Band, Tin Pan Alley, Black Heart Afterglow, Howard Haigh and Friends, Ottersgear and Big Door Open. FROM AMATeuR TRANSPlANTS: ADAM kAyS SMuTTy SONgS Amateur Transplants frontman Adam Kay sits at a grand piano and sings smutty songs. With sell-out tours and Edinburgh Fringe seasons, his cuttingedge, darkly humourous re-imaginings of pop and rock classics have gained him a cult following across the UK. His songs have over 20 million hits on YouTube and have been in the iTunes comedy top ten consistently since 2008. THe TwO MARTiNS MARTiN TAylOR & MARTiN SiMPSON Award winning guitarist MARTIN TAYLOR has established a unique musical career as an internationally acclaimed musician, and his inimitable style has seen him recognised as the worlds foremost exponent of solo jazz guitar playing. There is no-one who has more successfully combined the diverse elements of British, Afro-American and old-timey music than Simpson. In addition his own songwriting has produced some real gems, from the truck-stop epic, Love Never Dies to the profoundly moving Never Any Good and One Day. Friday 27 April 8pm 17.

luNCHTiMe CONCeRT SeRieS: eRMySTeADS Big BAND The Ermysteds Big Band has been running for over 10 years with over 35 players (although they dont always play in those numbers!) and the band includes a select number of musicians who form the Combo, a smaller group formed to provide further opportunities for improvisation. Many of the band also play in North Yorkshires elite Big Band HYJO and a number of pupils have gone on to achieve entrance to prestigious music colleges such as the RNCM, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Birmingham Conservatoire, Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) and even Harvard University. gAllOwAyS COMMuNiTy CHOiR luNCHTiMe CONCeRT SeRieS Making their first appearance at the lunchtime concerts, the choir are looking forward to presenting a varied selection of songs which include some new and some old along with music from Africa and other countries. THe MAgNeTS PReSeNT gOBSMACkeD! A cappella stars The Magnets are one of the must see acts on the current British music scene. Literally a six-man sound machine, they bring their glorious harmonies and jaw-dropping beatboxing to The Platform for the first time this autumn, hot from a first major stage appearance at the Glastonbury Festival and appearances on Comic Relief and the T-Mobile Lifes for Sharing a cappella flash-mob commercials. Highlights include a sultry Poker Face by Lady Gaga, an electrifying mash up of Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz and Fat Boy Slims Weapon of Choice, a sun soaked Girls & Boys by Blur, and an incredible medley of movie themes from A-Z, all delivered via vocal stunts, cool moves and superb theatrics, but absolutely no musical instruments. MOONligHT SeReNADe ORCHeSTRA uk Founded by trumpeter Kevin Cunningham, the Moonlight Serenade Orchestra UK has wowed audiences in Concert Halls and Theatres all over Great Britain. Known for its mix of big band swing teamed with outstanding vocals, the orchestras repertoire ranges from the classics of Glenn Miller through Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey and Benny Goodman to the cool vibe of Sinatra with a touch of Gene Krupa thrown in. The Moonlight Serenade Orchestra UKs musicians happily state that they are the hardest swinging big band in the UK but dont take their word for it, come and see for yourselves! luNCHTiMe CONCeRT SeRieS: QuAy CHANge Quay Change features vocalist Amy Worth, pianist Fred Binley and bassist Laurence Canty with their drummer Tim Franks. Since 2004, they have played throughout the Northwest - from the Albert Hall in Bolton(!) to Zeffirellis in Ambleside. Their dynamic repertoire ranges from Latin to Swing and Ballads to Blues. luNCHTiMe CONCeRT SeRieS: CHARleS eDMONSON Sopranoist Laurenne Chapman is a young singer from Darwen and is accompanied by Charles Edmondson. Together they will give a varied programme of music, much of which has been written for the stage. TRACy TJ HiggS HAS BeeN DeSCRiBeD AS A THOROugHly MODeRN MeDiuM. Bright and bubbly on stage, the evidence and proof that she brings through from loved ones to her audience is second to none. TJs career took off relatively quickly. Her bubbly and charismatic personality soon spread amongst her ever growing fan base and she became a well-known figure in the psychic world. Originally created in the 1920s, the park has developed into a wonderful, modern, family friendly area with activities for all ages. During the summer the park is brought to life with brass band concerts by many of the areas finest musicians. Happy Mount Park is proud of its reputation of being a traditional park where all ages can sit and relax, take a leisurely stroll in attractive, well-tended parkland, or, for the more adventurous, enjoy the many activities that are on offer.

Williamson Park comprises 54 acres overlooking the historic city of Lancaster with spectacular views across Morecambe Bay. Entertainment for young visitors is provided by safe play equipment and exciting wildlife in the Butterfly House and Mini Beast Cave. Events are held all year round including open air theatre in the summer.
