contribution whilst learning from more experienced colleagues in the advertising and marketing field. To gain the knowledge and expertise required to develop a successful career in advertising.

Personal Statement:

A highly motivated and able student of Philosophy and French, with an outstanding academic achievement, and a thirst for knowledge. Strong relationship builder, having worked in situations which required expert communication with the customer. A passion for foreign cultures and languages; proficient French; good written and spoken German and Russian. Well-travelled, having lived and worked in foreign countries as well as having travelled extensively around the world. An ability to think innovatively and engage in challenging tasks. An instinctive ability to work well as part of a team. Managerial expertise, having worked in high-pressure situations where the ability to lead is essential. A very balanced person, participating enthusiastically in a wide range of sports and social activities, including skiing, kung fu, debates and academic societies.

Career History:
August September 2010: Intern at Holy Cow Branding 2 month internship, working 3 days a week at a branding company in Raleigh, North Carolina. Writing skills were useful in writing copy for clients and contributing towards the company blog - http://goo.gl/uqSbc Developed an increased awareness of the power of social media while managing several platforms for clients. Used communication and people skills to the full when attending various social and networking events. Initiated in the world of Adobe, designing print materials for clients. August September 2010: Intern at Cross + Associates 2 month internship, working 2 days a week at a marketing firm in Raleigh, North Carolina. Used Adobe Illustrator for logo design. Actively contributed towards the company blog - http://goo.gl/UlwwL Involved in the planning and research of major campaigns and contributed towards board room meetings. September 2011 May 2012: English Language Assistant on Reunion Island, Indian Ocean Taught English as a foreign language to pupils at two different schools in Reunion as part of the British Councils teaching assistantship scheme. Developed a wider understanding of different cultures and beliefs. Improved written and spoken French. Refined leadership qualities and the ability to effectively present ideas. August September 2011: Event Controller for CTM Took on many responsibilities for a cash and traffic management company. Quick-thinking, intelligence and perseverance were paramount to success. Managed a team of backstage workers at Reading Festival in a professional manner. Recommended for a supervisor role in the company. October 2007 June 2011: Porter at Barnes Auctions Part-time work, handling presentation and delivery of auction sale items. Right-hand-man to the auctioneer, making sure tasks were carried out effectively. Organisation and time management were essential. Natural communication and people skills helped to provide excellent customer service. Other roles include Assistant at a Law Firm, Extras work for an ITV Sitcom and, last but not least, a Daily Paper Round.

Interests:

Travelling: organised and coordinated a round the world trip from South-East Asia to the United States. Kung Fu: train twice a week. Requires commitment and endurance. Active member of the Bristol University Ski Club. Wide interest in sports ranging from tennis, squash and volleyball to rugby and football. Community and Charity Work: helped out at Merton homeless centre and participated in several conservation projects in the Wimbledon area. Always keen to pick up new hobbies e.g. surfing & cliff jumping
