BACKUsing US 10.75 needles OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN THE GAUGE, CO 74 (82, 90) sts Row 1 (WS) - P2, *K2, P2, repeat from * to end of the row. Row 2 (RS) - K2, *P2, K2, repeat from * to end of the row. Repeat rows 1 & 2 until piece measures approx. 7 from CO edge, ending with a RS row.

Armhole ShapingContinuing to work in established pattern, BO 3 (4, 5) sts at the beginning of the next two rows. 68 (74, 80) sts Decrease Rows- Continuing to work in the established K2, P2 ribbing, decrease 1 st (K2tog) at the beginning and end of each RS row until 58 (62, 66) sts remain. Work evenly in established pattern until piece measures 7 (7.5, 8) from the BO edge, ending on a WS row. BO 2 (4, 6) sts at the beginning of the next two rows. BO 5 (5, 5) sts at the beginning of the next 6 rows. Bind off remaining 24 sts.

RIGHT FRONTUsing US 10.75 needles OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN THE GAUGE, CO 42 (46, 50) sts. Row 1 & 3(WS) - P2, knit to the last two sts, P2. Row 2 (RS) - K2, purl to the last two sts, K2. These 3 rows form the first horizontal purl rib on 38 (42, 46) sts. Row 4 & 6- K2, P2 knit to the last four sts, P2, K2. Row 5- P2, K2, purl to the last four sts, K2, P2. These 3 rows form the first horizontal knit rib on 34 (38, 42) sts. Row 7 & 9- P2, K2, P2, knit to the last six sts, P2, K2, P2. Row 8- K2, P2, K2, purl to the last six sts, K2, P2, K2. Row 10 & 12- (K2, P2) twice, knit to the last eight sts, (K2, P2) twice. Row 11- (P2, K2) twice, purl to the last eight sts, (K2, P2) twice. Row 13 & 15- (P2, K2) twice, P2, knit to the last ten sts, (P2, K2) twice, P2. Row 14- (K2, P2) twice, K2, purl to the last ten sts, (K2, P2) twice, K2. LEFT FRONTWork as for Right Front up to Armhole Shaping, ending on a WS row.

Armhole ShapingContinuing to work in established pattern, BO 3 (4, 5) sts at the beginning of the next row. 39 (42, 45) sts. Decrease Rows- Keeping in the established pattern, decrease 1 st (K2tog) at the beginning of each RS row until 34 (36, 38) sts remain. Work evenly in established pattern until piece measures 7 (7.5, 8) from the BO edge, ending on a WS row. BO 2 (4, 6) sts at the beginning of the next row. 32 sts BO 5 (5, 5) sts at the beginning of the next 3 RS rows. Place remaining 17 sts on a holder. Sew Back, Right and Left Front pieces together along the shoulders and up the sides.

COLLARUsing US 10.75 needles OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN THE GAUGE, knit across the 17 sts on the holder along the Left Front, pick up and knit 24 sts along the back, knit across the 17 sts on the holder along the Right Front. There will be 58 sts total. Work in K2, P2 ribbing until piece measures approximately 2 from CO edge, ending at Right Front edge. Row 1 & 3(WS) - (K2, P2) four times, K 26, (K2, P2) four times. Row 2- (P2, K2) four times, P 26, (P2, K2) four times. Row 4 & 6- (P2, K2) three times, K 30, (P2, K2) three times. Row 5- (K2, P2) three times, P 30, (K2, P2) three times. Row 7 & 9- (K2, P2) twice, K2, K 34, (K2, P2) twice, K2 Row 8- (P2, K2) twice, P 36 (P2, K2) three times, P2. Row 10 & 12- (P2, K2) twice, K 36, (P2, K2) twice. Row 11- (K2, P2) twice, P 36, (K2, P2) three times. Row 13 & 15- K2, P2, K2, K 38, K2, P2, K2 Row 14- P2, K2, P 40, P2, K2, P2. Row 16 & 18- K2, P2, K 40, K2, P2. Row 17- P2, K2, P 40, P2, K2. Row 19 & 20- K2, K 42, K2. Row 21- Purl across. BO all sts, but do not break yarn.

EdgingUsing US G crochet hook and yarn still attach at sweater collar, work a single row of sc along the side of the collar and down the edge of the Left Front collar. *Work 1 sc into ever 2nd row to make a flat edging* Cut yarn. Repeat process along the Right Front collar and edge.

SLEEVES- (make two)

Using US 10.75 needles, OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE, CO 54 (58, 62) sts. Work as for Back until piece measures approximately 5 from CO edge, ending on a RS row. Continuing to work in established pattern, BO 3 (4, 5) sts at the beginning of the next two rows. 48 (50, 52) sts. Decrease Rows- Continuing to work in the established K2, P2 ribbing, decrease 1 st (K2tog) at the beginning and end of each WS row 10 (11, 12) times. 28 sts. BO 2 sts at the beginning of each of the next six rows. Bind off remaining 16 sts in pattern.

CUFFS- (make two)


Using US 10.75 needles, OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE, CO 58 sts. *This is the lower edge of the cuff Row 1 & 3 (WS) - (K2, P2) four times, K 26, (P2, K2) four times. Row 2 (RS) - (P2, K2) four times, P 26, (K2, P2) four times. Work as for Collar from Row 4 until Edging.

EdgingUsing US G crochet hook, work 1 row of sc along the short horizontal ends of each cuff.

FINISHINGSew sleeves to Front and back; Sew lower edge of cuff to BO edge of sleeves, leaving the horizontal sc edged sides free. *Attach cuff so that the sleeve's seam is at the centre of the cuff. Weave in all loose ends.
