Solar Panels or Solar Modules

A solar panel (also solar module, photovoltaic module or photovoltaic panel) is a packaged, connected assembly of photovoltaic cells. The solar panel can be used as a component of a larger photovoltaic system to generate and supply electricity in commercial and residential applications.

Because a single solar panel can produce only a limited amount of power, many installations contain several panels. A photovoltaic system typically includes an array of solar panels, an inverter, and sometimes a battery and interconnection wiring.

A PARS (Plasma-Assisted Reforming Scrubber) CHP power plant creates a synthesized gas called Syngas (a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen), from feedstock's the gas is cleaned using PARS technology which removes any tar and then as a fuel it powers a compatible diesel generator called a Genset. The diesel Genset produces electricity and the heat from the radiator which is used to cool the Genset is piped as hot water energy Syngas the fuel of the future Syngas is generated at high temperatures from solid organic wastes such as biomass, agro wastes, sewage sludge or sorted municipal waste. This process is called gasification it differs from incineration as it is smoldering rather than burning [with very controlled access of air]. Why PARS Gasification for CHP? PARS technology enables expensive and inefficient gas filters to be eliminated the gasification process is greatly simplified, and thats what makes PARS so cost competitive in terms of both equipment and process. Producing Syngas The amount of energy or Syngas a feedstock produces varies in different types of materials. Mixed plastics for example, which are very difficult to sort in MSW are excellent feedstock's. Production of Syngas is most efficient where same the feedstocks are gasified in a repetitive supply. A Clean Renewable Reliable Fuel Syngas is a very clean fuel, many types of vehicles and plant are adapted to use Syngas. What is the Plasma in PARS? Plasma is said to be the fourth state; heat a solid and you get a liquid, heat a liquid and you get gas, and if you heat gas high enough you get plasma. What about the future? Syngas technology created an ultra clean high performance fuel from renewable sources it is even compatible with many aircraft engines. Syngas is most significant since air travel is considered the benchmark for our carbon footprints. Public transport example garbage trucks can run on clean Syngas a fuel even from the waste it collects. Syngas Conversion Much oil consumption can be replaced by MSW, biomass and other feedstock's, some of which are more valuable than others. At 0.16c kWh, food waste could have a value of approximately 10 Euro per ton whereas a mixture of most common plastic can demonstrate energy value over 50 Euros per ton

PARS CHP power plants are less expensive, smaller, lighter, and more mobile than practically any other product on the market. Being smaller the power plant can be deployed closer to where the waste occurs than other technologies that means Renewable Energy With PARS gasification we can reduce our dependency on oil by converting the materials we no longer need and those we already threw away.

The polishing and sorting can be achieved locally but not on the landfill site because of the risk of methane. Historic Landfill Feedstocks Landfill rehabilitation benefits Even ancient landfill feedstock provide variable results as PARS feedstock, the various strata deliver similar but dependable mixed results depending on age PARS and the landfill kill PARS Gasification means MSW waste extinction; there is no smoke, no steam and no noise. Extreme heat turns waste to gas and no CO2 is emitted during this extinction process. All MSW waste can be processed for extinction and this means that PARS is ideal to clean up aged landfill sites. The Physics of Landfill Anaerobic digestion occurs in the compressed mixture or biodegradable [and non biodegradable] waste deposit of landfill and in the absence of oxygen methane occurs. Leaching methane from landfill is over 20 times more damaging to the environment than CO2. Methane is the cause of local pollution of ground and ground waters causing fires and even explosions. Baling inventory of Landfill Landfill MSW is baled in the open air and filed under the protection of an open canopy. Baling landfill in fresh air halts the anaerobic process and it allows the content of the landfill to be counted prior to processing. Landfill For Energy? Historic landfill is baled and transported locally to a PARS CHP sorting plant. The polished feedstock it creates is MSW fiber. MSW fiber is easily transported, distributed and stored. Even picked over MSW deposited over the last 20 years contains a high plastic content ideal for high energy yield For the Environment Baling landfill and exposing it to oxygen halts the worst environmental methane emissions. Stacking feedstock in an orderly fashion prior to sorting makes better use of space giving the landfill site the earliest opportunity to recover. Quantifying the potential energy yield of landfill early gives confidence to the investment process and landfill clean up projects quickly demonstrate both income positive cash flows and long term profitability For land reclamation SOLIDEA PARS systems means all kinds of landfill projects can be safely reclaimed for redevelopment or continue to serve the community in other ways as filler for cement blocks at the landfill. PARS CHP deployment PARS demonstrates that collecting and redistributing wastes from and to Hospitals, town Shopping Centers, Office Parks and other public institutions can be most cost effective. The sorting is made at the landfill, MSW fiber is then redistributed to PARS CHP power unit where the energy is used. Turnkey Development Energy Distribution PARS technology is shipped and operated from standard steel containers. PARS CHP units are moveable and expandable and any number can be deployed on the reclaimed landfill site, nearby or elsewhere within its district. PARS technology and gasification can make MSW collection and PARS fiber feedstock distribution self sufficient. Many types of garbage trucks, loaders, and hopper vans can be easily converted to run on the Syngas created in the PARS process. Ash produced in the extinction process is sold as fertilizer or processed SOLIDEA GROUP worldwide are a range of specialists whose business is WtE and renewable energy. The Capacity of One AirWell+ One AirWell+ can produce up to 1000 liters per day of CO2 free water, it can save 36.5 tons of CO2 a year making 365,000 liters of water a year and saving over 1million liters. Teamed with PARS CHP, using a typical shopping centers MSW as feedstock can produce over 10,000 liters of water every day.

Product Quality AirWell+ produces high quality water, it is ideal for hospitals, schools and large campus. Having high quality fresh water readily available many of the beverages found in supermarkets could be produced at a far higher quality and for a fraction of the price. Saving on Resources and Landfill Over 10 Billion drinks and bottled containers were sold in Central, South Eastern Europe in 2011. Less than 3% will be recycled. Vending higher quality beverages from supermarkets at a local level, at lower cost lowers any impact of introducing deposits on drinks containers. Up to 11% of landfill volume can be accounted for from beverage containers which

Competing With Designer Waters According to most international food standards some 90 different elements are permitted as part of the content of mineral water. SOLIDEA found even the most expensive mineral waters can contain impurities that they could best do without. Whilst few of the lesser elements found in mineral water are good for you, no bottle waters are perfect. By dowsing pure water inline the AirWell+ and its bottling plant can reproduce any designer water and even make it better.

Zero Net Buildings and Zero Net Building Installations

A zero net energy building (ZNE) or zero net building installation (ZNBI), is a popular term to describe a building or one of its installations with zero net energy consumption and zero carbon emissions annually. In balancing the energy needs throughout the year being grid tied and benefiting from government green rates many installations can quickly become both income producing and CO2 positive. Zero energy buildings and installations remain grid tied and on the grid supply. Energy can be harvested on-site through a combination of energy producing technologies while reducing the overall use of energy with extremely efficient Lighting and other technologies. There is a noticeable difference between new SSLs white light technologies and what they replace The grid tied system uses the grid as a giant battery a surplus goes onto the grid in summer and the excess is regained in winter. The zero-energy design principle is becoming more practical to adopt due to the increasing costs of fossil fuels and low cost solar panels. The reduction in energy has significant impact The zero net energy consumption principle is gaining considerable interest as renewable energy harvesting is a means to endorse a companies image. Commercial buildings can reduce their consumption of fossil energy by more than 40% in the European Union

By producing and using renewable energy on Smart and Micro Grids we extend the life of our existing infrastructure staying on grid we are re developing existing infrastructure, adding value to society and sparing valuable tax payers money for other and in some cases more urgent projects.

A Cost Free Upgrade; lower bills, better quality lighting and a CO2 Free Utility
2
Is this investment cost competitive ? There are more than 12 million sodium street and security lamps needing replacement around Central Europe. The cost of replacing a complete lamp is over 2,000 Euro but what of all the other infrastructure the posts support? Replacing a 250w to 400w HPS cobra for LED costs between 300 and 600 Euro. SOLIDEAs solution replaces the lamp in the existing Cobra and costs less than half of this price. How Sustainable is SOLIDEAs PPP Model When do SOLIDEA exit and what happens next? SOLIDEA offset the energy used with income producing renewable green energy generation elsewhere on the grid. Income from this utility pays back the loans for itself and the lights very quickly. Once the costs are repaid SOLIDEA exit BOT leaving a fully paid for renewable energy generating utility which makes a substantial yearly income. A Profitable Business With Strong Future Growth SOLIDEA planning ensures the utility can grow in future, by improving lighting and adding clients with new revenue streams to the smart micro grid. After and Before a 2x 98w LED vs HPS 400w After a fixed time period the loans are repaid the project is income producing and a sustainable a profitable utility is retuned to the local authority. What Other Value Can SOLIDEA offer in future? As a renewable energy development partner SOLIDEA offer ongoing investment programs to add value to this smart micro grid. We will help reduce costs, energy use and CO2 to achieve all EU energy goals and standards. SOLIDEA global reach include some of the EUs smartest energy professionals. Network Expansion Network Growth Micro Grid operators foresee the rapid expansion of pu telecommunications systems providing unlimited Before scope for expansion. What Are The Capital Costs For The Utility? There are no Capital Costs for the existing street lighting utility. SOLIDEA make all the investments and take all the risks funding the project turnkey . What Extra Energy Costs Can The Utility Expect? There is no extra cost in fact cost are reduced 20% in year one and 10% every year thereafter. This means fixed reduced costs for far better authority financial cost planning and of course more money.

An informative and professionally written faade due diligence report puts the reader in control. Presenting simple easy understood terminology describing how the faade is constructed. Defects are presented by clear descriptive images it provides insight into what has failed, what will fail in the next few years, full life cycle and recommended upgrades. Old buildings can often out perform their original specification this can provide terrific potential for a building developer. Immediate Failures The first priority is safety and immediate defects are logically titled and described. The due diligence report lists the necessary actions to be undertaken to replace or make good defects and this description is a logical form on which other have the basic instructions to specify immediate rectification and works Failure Short Term Full Life Cycle The architectural life span of building components are decided during design intentionally or otherwise. Components of the faade usually exceed their design life cycle way ahead of that of the structure. Even if the faade has performed we can assume the faade will need major renovation, replacement or rehabilitation before the building structure does. Recommended Upgrades Technology, and performance march on with time either faade failure or its poor performance impact the value of a building the costs of poor building environments is one example. What kind of income can we expect from our ZNE Project? The green and black energy rates vary from country but almost always >2-5 times, this as a guideline for shopping centre owners means that a Zero Net Energy installation would mean an income at least greater than 2 to 5 times the current energy bill.

What kind of Capital Cost will we incur? Simple projects can pay back in 3-5 years, it depends on the design and layout of the Shopping destination There are many factors to consider, these include local tariff rates, local irradiation, the amount of garbage produced the cooling loads and the building fabric condition within the non tenanted areas. Beyond Grid Parity a time for change tion is designed to be as unobtrusive as possible. The Energy, The Balance and The Supply Power grid energy supply IS best well distributed as distributed power reduces losses. SOLIDEA sees the supply of up to 130MW of renewable energy from public PV+CHP utilities a 50/50 combination of energy generation and waste extinction and the continued promotion of home owner PV. process in other words there is no smoke, no gas and no noise so no emissions, the ashes produced are for fertilizers, hydroponics and market gardeners. PARS CHP makes both new and old garbage extinct. Digging for Feedstocks Hidden Bahamas Treasures A unique feature of a 2MWe PARS system is that its moveable. It consists of three steel containers and ideal feedstock can include all the hidden treasures of landfill sites, PARS cleans as it goes even consuming garbage left by previous generations and once one site is reclaimed it can be moved to the next one. And what of the existing infrastructure? SOLIDEA propose to site all new infrastructure either alongside existing power stations or landfill sites the renewable energy revolution and its transiEnergy Savings and Reducing Consumption Of the many forms of cost and energy saving solar shading deliver exceptional reductions in heat loads. Monitoring energy conservation is easily and best achieved by benchmarking yearly kWh/m2 consumed and overseeing its management. How much land will be consumed? 130MW of solar panels and PV+CHP requires 162 hectares; this is not a large area and can easily be accommodated on existing landfill sites. Many panels can be placed on and around infrastructure and on public buildings and school roofs, canopies over parking spaces and at public transport stops. The ports and landings are all good locations for PV installations. Displacing the energy production and ensuring it is well distributed is all value added In 2012 global cost of Diesel energy generated electricity passed the USD 0.40c/kWh benchmark. This price level is significant because it is the point at which Grid Parity is surpassed. At this price level it is possible to finance and repay SOLIDEA Solar and CHP installations within 5 years and with simple instruments such as private corporate bonds. This new low cost of renewable energy is achievable without subsidies. Renewable Bahamas Power SOLIDEA has identified 26 small energy producing stations in Bahamas where it could develop PV+CHP installations for the benefit of the islands and for the islanders who can eventually expect lower energy costs. In Zero Net Energy Investments SOLIDEA supply solar energy to the grid at green tariffs meanwhile Warsaw Tram consumes energy at much lower black energy rate. The difference in these two rates becomes income its an incentive for large energy users to change to renewable energy and to reduce their CO2 its happening all over the world today. Are Zero Net Energy Projects Unique? Zero Net Energy is far from unique except in Poland where the authorities have resisted solar FITs far too long we are now way behind other Countries in the European Union and many Countries of the World. How Soon Could Warsaw Commuters Benefit? SOLIDEA offer Warsaw Tram the opportunity to have all its energy produced by Solar Panels. SOLIDEA would finance Warsaw Tram offset over a period of 8 years the green energy tariff would pay back SOLIDEAs loan; at the end of the loan period the Solar Energy fields and the energy that they would produce would belong to the Warsaw Tram panel by example a top tier product and one of the best performing and most sophisticated solar panels in the World is made in Poland. SOLIDEA would use the public bond market for the loans so ordinary people can participate in this investment Putting Poland Back to Work Warsaw Tram Project is a show case for the world we will be inviting many people from around the world to Poland to see how it works. Poland is a green leader we create new jobs and most important start a new world image for Poland Will Warsaw Tram Tickets Be More Expensive? Not on SOLIDEA account there is no reason for any price increase because there is no cost, all the energy installations are paid for by energy use. In any event SOLIDEA would cap the rate increase to ensure no natural cost increases from now on. Where Will 500,000+ Panels Be Installed? Some of the panels will be installed in and around the existing tram infrastructure to remind the world Warsaw is green but the beauty of offset is that the most of the panels will be hidden in a field somewhere else in Poland

company and most importantly to the people and commuters of Warsaw. Warsaw Tram would become a sustainable Public Utility and a real asset How Will Warsaw Tram Become Sustainable? After 8 years the loan for the installation of the renewable energy will have paid back then a sustainable income would continue for many years to come. Children growing up today can look forward to a low cost public transport system that can look after itself and not be a burden to their economy in future What Other Benefits Can Poland Expect? SOLIDEA already manufacture all the solar equipment needed in Poland the SOLIDEA 240w solar

St Kitts and Nevis SOLIDEAs renewable energy revolution

Beyond Grid Parity a time for change tion is designed to be as unobtrusive as possible. The Energy, The Balance and The Supply Power grid energy supply sources are best well distributed as distributed power reduces losses. SOLIDEA proposes the supply of up to 50MW of renewable energy from a public PV+CHP utility a 50/50 combination of energy generation and waste extinction and the promotion of a new FIT [feed in tariff] to encourage rooftop PV across the islands over during the day whilst solar does its job and when the sun goes down CHP kicks in producing energy from municipal waste, human waste or biomass. Feedstocks Hidden Treasures Cleaning as it Goes A unique feature of a 2MWe PARS system is that is moveable. It consists of three steel containers and its ideal feedstock includes all the hidden treasures of landfill sites, PARS cleans as it goes even consuming garbage left by previous generations and once the site is reclaimed it can be moved to the next one. And what of the existing infrastructure? SOLIDEA propose to site all new infrastructure either alongside existing power stations or landfill sites the renewable energy revolution and its transiFuture Expansion By adopting and promoting FITs a future surplus of energy can be generated from all over St Kitts and Nevis. The renewable revolution has plenty room spare to expand to provide a future sustainable supply for many generations to come How much land will be consumed? 25MW of solar panels need 62 hectares this is not a large area it can easily be accommodated on existing landfill sites also many panels can be accommodated within infrastructure and on public buildings. SOLIDEA produce various versions of its 240w panel including a plug and play version which can be located and relocated anywhere on the grid at any time. In 2012 cost of Diesel energy generated electricity passed the USD 0.40c/kWh benchmark. This price level is significant because it is the point at which Grid Parity is surpassed. At this prices level it is possible to finance and repay SOLIDEA solar and CHP installations within 5 years with simple instruments such as corporate bonds. This new low cost of renewable energy is achievable without subsidies. Sustainable Energy, Sovereignty and Lower Costs SOLIDEAs proposed sustainable energy revolution would mean lower prices for energy in future as after 5 years the utility would be in common ownership and the property of the people of St Kitts and Nevis Zero Emissions, Its all in the mix

SOLIDEAs renewable energy mix of PARS CHP Gasification and Solar means no emissions whatsoever. The beauty of PARS is that its a closed chamber process in other words there is no smoke, no gas and no noise and no emissions, the ashes produced are for fertilizers. PARS CHP makes waste and garbage extinct. Solar energy is completely passive there are no moving parts and nothing to wear out. Solar + CHP together are a perfect mix, CHP ticks

The publicly funded project includes over 4,000 energy fields. The fast exit project is self sustaining as profits after 5 years are to be used to replace much needed new public infrastructure with micro smart grids as well as stimulating the local economy. Ghanas Renewable Energy Renewable energy is nothing new in Ghana it opened its first Hydroelectric Dam Akosombo in 1978 the Ghana power utility was able to provide its own energy and energy became a major export Energy Growth Total Panels Approximately 16 Million Demand increased over the last 20 years and now electrical energy barely keeps pace with demand, energy for export has become rationed. Peak time demand and insufficient energy creates power cuts. Power Outs Accra and Abuja suffer from power outs on a daily basis and practically every building must rely on diesel generators whilst the peak demand levels out and the power comes back on. Outages are simply not enough energy at peak time that results in the aging infrastructure overloading Dependants Kpong Bui [Not yet built] Other Sources 160MW 400MW [800m Euro] Diesel [Unknown] Neighboring countries Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso are dependant on energy flowing over the border. Abuja in the Ivory Coast suffers an intermittent power supply and less than 3% of Burkina Faso have access to an electricity grid.

Public Private Partnership Bonds for a Renewable Energy Africa

2
Public Private Partnerships Few Public Private Partnerships or PPPs as they are called ever get off the ground. However once committed well planned schemes rarely go wrong. SOLIDEA believe the most important aspect of Utility investments is that they remain 100% in public ownership. project would mean gross rates under 27c Euro these electrical energy price are significantly more than normal tariff rated but providing enough energy Ghana would mean a change in the energy mix as Diesel generators become obsolete. Sustainable For Africa SOLIDEAs Hydrosol one will produce reliable renewable energy for more than 50 years, this renewable energy is asset for Africa as after the first 5 years energy is practically free there is no debt on the utility. SOLIDEA believe that this investment in energy infrastructure can shape the future of those countries in the WAPP region its also a template for many future investments. Fast Exit The total ROI for SOIDEAs Hydrosol one investors is 10% for 5 year period but after the coupon is repaid the Utilities are wholly owned by the Ghana energy Company and the people of Ghana. Each field is quickly realized it can be built connected and operational in under 6 months. Bonds are readily tradable and available to everyone over the counter in Europe and Africa

SOLIDEA will handover each field to the Ghana Utility as the investment phase is complete. Manageable Financial Instruments issued on each field. SOLIDEA offer total transparency to its project investors and the ability to monitor their project interests in an ongoing process Low Burden, Low Investment Risk Solar field projects are generally designed to pay back in 5 or so years. As the solar radiation is good in Ghana underwriting the risk through energy tariffs over 5 year is the least burden on energy user. Ghana supports its neighbors in energy including the Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso. The proposed new energy tariffs for the SOLIDEA Hydrosol one

The global bonds market continues to grow in size and in popularity with investors; bonds differ from shares and are very popular because they are regulated and issued as a loan. Bonds give the coupon owner a fixed interest rate and a fixed repayment term. Project Transparency Every field is one MW of energy and a bond is issued for each specific field. This is so each coupon owner knows the size and even the number of coupons
