Our observation about South Point College:

Even though that is situated in Gulshan, we have not seen buildings decoration and amenities are up to the standard with the area. They had only few hundred students in the campus and old prototype chairs and benches are being used for students. Library and laboratory are not enriched either. The staffs we found there should not be consider more than average level of standard. That might be happen because of off day presence i.e most of the good staffs were out of the campus. Our observation about Uttara Model College

Present condition of the college can be regarded as construction site. Noises are coming from here and there. Classes are being taken amidst of such noise. Teachers are busy in conducting classes. So when we entered for information, we had to search for staff who can give us some information. I got information from accountant and other 2 lower level staffs (peon and guard). Inner side of college is dire condition, probably because of lack of manpower. Milestone College 1. Founder: Colonel Nurun Nabi (not certain) 2. Founded: In 2001 3. Number of students: Exact figure is unknown. 4. Achievement: a. In 2009, considering S.S.C result Milestones position is a. 4th in respect of GPA-5. b. 5th in respect of 100% pass c. 6th best result in the country. b. In 2009, considering H.S.C result Milestones position is 10th Position in respect of GPA-5 in Dhaka Board. 5. Expansion: Starts with Kindergarten and now running college along with schools. It has 6 campuses along with around 20 hostel buildings (Exact number is unknown). Its permanent campus is in Diabari,Uttara (under construction)

Our observation about Milestone College

On the ground floor, Milestone college has reception, accounts section, computer room, Vice Principals, and other important officials room along with a big auditorium. At the entrance, one will see various posters and literary articles focusing various activities and richness of academic performance. Classes are from the second floor. In every floor there is office room along with teachers meeting rooms. It has also lift facilities and rare exit point. Looked more organised and equipped with resources and manpower. Scolastica 1. Founder: Mrs. Yasmeen Murshed, who had begun her career in education as a teacher in various institutions. 2. Founded: In 1977 3. Number of students: Exact figure is unknown. 4. Achievement: Consider as best English Medium school in Banladesh. 5. Expansion: Scholastica campuses are now located in different key areas of Dhaka city; however except the senior campus in Uttara (Sector 1), all operate in rented premises. The Senior campus in Uttara is the first custom built premises which houses students of Class VI to XII and the other campuses in Dhanmondi, Gulshan and Uttara house the students of Playgroup to Class IV in the different locations. The new campus in Mirpur is the second purpose-built campus which will eventually comprise of the complete range of classes from Class I to XII. 5

Our observation of Scolastica

We have only seen bookshop, cafeteria and information booth. They are much more systematic and secure. They do not have any prospectus to distribute; indeed they do not publish any brochure. Their website contains some information about Scholastica except tuition fee.
