Build Process
Cutting Process: Base Cutting: 1. Start layout work on B4.4 tracing out 3 different parts for the base. 2. For BA4.4 cut out 3 sheets of 5 x 15 pine. 3. On one section of the 5 x 15 wood trace out 1 x 5 on both sides and cut off. (These sheets attached together will act as the base panel. Refer to CAD sketches for clarity) 4. Cut out 2 sheets of BB4.4 (Refer to CAD sketches for dimensions) 5. Cut out 2 sheets of BC4.4 (Refer to CAD sketches for dimensions) Bin Cutting: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Start layout work on BN4.4 tracing out 5 different parts for the base. Cut out 2 sheets of BNA4.4 (Refer to CAD sketches for dimensions) Cut out 1 sheets of BNB4.4 (Refer to CAD sketches for dimensions) Cut out 1 sheets of BNC4.4 (Refer to CAD sketches for dimensions) Cut out 1 sheets of BND4.4 (Refer to CAD sketches for dimensions) Cut out 2 sheets of BNE4.4 (Refer to CAD sketches for dimensions)

Funnel: (Plywood to be used) 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Start layout work on F4.4 tracing out 5 different parts for the base. Cut out 2 sheets of FA4.4 (Refer to CAD sketches for dimensions) Cut out 1 sheets of FB4.4 (Refer to CAD sketches for dimensions) Cut out 1 sheets of FC4.4 (Refer to CAD sketches for dimensions) Cut out 1 sheets of FD4.4 (Refer to CAD sketches for dimensions)

Main Crusher: 1. Start layout work on MC4.4 tracing out 13 different parts for the base. 2. Cut out MCA4.4 which will be composed of a 6 x 11 sheet and 3 x 8 sheet 3. Cut the 3 x 8 in half and then using a jig saw, cut the shape out of each side 4. Create a second sheet of MCA4.4 6. Cut out 2 sheets of MCB4.4 (Refer to CAD sketches for dimensions) 5. Cut out 2 sheets of MCC4.4 (Refer to CAD sketches for dimensions) 6. Cut out MCD4.4 which will be composed of a 3 x 5 sheet and two 1 x 5 sheets 7. Cut out MCE4.4 which will be composed of a 6.5 x 5 sheet and two 1.5 x 1 sheets 8. Cut out MCF4.4 which will be composed of three 3 x 3 sheets 9. Cut out 1 sheet of MCG4.4 (Refer to CAD sketches for dimensions) 10. Measure 7 of PVC and cut for 4CH4.4

11. Trace out a disc with a protractor and cut out 2 sheets of MCI4.4 12. Cut off 1.5 of the wooden dowel MCJ4.4 13. Cut out the shape created by MCK4.4 14. Drill holes in MCK4.4 referring to the CAD sketches for sizes 15. Cut off 11 inches off of the dowel to create MCL4.4 16. Cut off 5 inches off of dowel to create MCM4.4 Assembly: Base Assembly: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Preassemble all pieces based on the drawing in B4.4 Sand pieces down to ensure squareness Glue Base A together Screw the 2 sheets of BB4.4 and BC4.4 into BA4.4 Check again for squareness

Bin Assembly: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Preassemble all pieces based on the drawing in BN4.4 Sand pieces down to ensure squareness Screw BNC4.4 perpendicular into BNB4.4 Screw the 2 sheets of BNA4.4 into BNC4.4 Screw 2 more screws into BNA4.4 connecting it with BNA4.4 Place BND4.4 in between the 2 sheets of BNA4.4 and screw into both sides Screw BNE4.4 into BNB4.4 Check again for squareness

Funnel Assembly: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Preassemble all pieces based on the drawing in F4.4 Sand pieces down to ensure squareness Screw FB4.4 and FC4.4 parallel to each other into FD4.4 Flip sideways and place FA4.4 inside and square up Screw in on both sides to secure Check again for squareness

Main Crusher Assembly: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Preassemble all pieces based on the drawing in MC4.4 Sand pieces down to ensure squareness Glue pieces MCD4.4, MCA4.4, and MCE4.4 together Begin by assembling MCA4.4, MCB4.4, MCC4.4 and MCH4.4. (Use Flathead Screws) Glue MCI4.4 to the ends of MCH4.4 making sure not to glue the disc to MCA4.4

6. Screw MCJ4.4 into MCI4.4 and repeat on the other side 7. Glue MCM4.4 to MMJ4.4 on right side 8. Slip MCL4.4 through MCA4.4 and MCF4.4 and attach MCJ4.4 on both sides 9. Screw MCG4.4, MCD4.4, and MCC4.4 onto MCA4.4 to finalize. 10. Check again for squareness Full Assembly: 1. 2. 3. 4. Place the Main Crusher in between the support panels and secure into place. Slide Bin under making sure that it is secure. Attach automatic loader with wood glue against the back wall Check for security and strength.

Test Plan
Test Criteria Can is crushed. How Tested Can is put into can crusher and can crusher is operated. Use the can crusher to see if the can falls into bin without any intervention. Measurements for the needed size are applied. Use can crusher to see how much the can is reduced to. Use self-loading system. Expected results Can is crushed.

The can falls into the bin without any human interaction.

The crushed can falls into the bin.

The aluminum bin holds at least 20 cans. (Crushed) The can is reduced to 30% of its original size. No human intervention is needed when the can is loaded.

20 cans are held in the Can is crushed to 30% of its original size. Cans fall into can crusher without any intervention.
