VO: Every year, more than 10 million children attend summer camp across the U.S., but for the families of children with disabilities, diabetes and Down syndrome, the cost of attending camp may be too high.

SOT: Its hard to find summer camps that have the resources to take care of my child, and many of the ones that we found cost more than $1000 for a week. I wanted him to have the same experiences that his friends have, and I hated that the financial burden would keep him from being able to.

:24 VO: The Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville helps families like these by providing children with special medical conditions a traditional summer camp at no cost to the campers and their families.

SOT: We are able to support the Lions Camp mission throughout the year by raising money through our dues, giving programs and fundraisers as well as by volunteering to help clean the grounds on work days and at picnics and the awards ceremonies during the summer . Its a blessing to see all the children and families that we get the chance to help.

VO: All the work that goes into making camp possible is worth it once summer time comes around. SOT: Camp is awesome. I love making friends. Its my favorite week of the whole year.
