Eco Bank Case Study

Ecobank has been working with Gamatronics products for more than two years in various locations throughout Africa such as: Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana. During this time Gamatronic has installed ATM UPS systems in more than 100 ATM sites, as well as large UPS systems in our different branches and Data Centers. The solution
More than 100 MST systems were installed in ATM machines and branches in Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana as an initial stage of an ongoing project. The MST is a double conversion online UPS with an inverter isolation transformer and static switch. The system can be recharged quickly within less than 6 hours by using a 6 kVA battery charger (rectifier) customized especially for the project.

MST Series
MST is a small, compact, reliable UPS in the 6kVA capacity range. A classic double-conversion On-line system with an inverter isolation transformer and a static switch. The MST was designed with a separate battery enclosure ensuring maximum flexibility during backup time. The Challenge
Ecobank, sought out to find a solution for a few hundred ATM machines scattered over a vast geographical area. Due to unstable power supply which causes random power failures, it was crucial the solution would offer more than 72 hours of back up time. In addition the bank wanted a system with Remote control access and malfunction diagnosis in order to assess and evaluate the failures.
