PREFACE
This Standard was prepared by the Standards Australia Committee on Testing of Wool.
The Standard was prepared by collation of the terms used in the various existing Standards
for testing of raw wool. The resultant list was then modified to ensure consistency and terms
were added to address perceived future needs. It is intended to refer to this document in
future editions of Standards relating to the testing of wool rather than to reproduce definitions
in the test methods themselves.
The term ‘informative’ has been used in this Standard to define the application of the
Appendix. An ‘informative’ appendix is only for information and guidance.
