LETTER OF MOTIVATION
I, Mofizul Islam Awwal, have been serving as an Workshop Manager in Technical department of Nitol Motors Ltd (Service), after completing my B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering degree from Islamic University of Technology (IUT) in 2008. Also besides serving Nitol Motors Ltd (Service) I got admitted in MBA (Operations Management) program in American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and successfully finished MBA program in 2011. Background I have obtained my B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering degree from Islamic University of Technology on November 03, 2008 one of the top notch engineering universities of Bangladesh and an International Organization of OIC in Bangladesh. Later on February 02, 2012 I received my MBA Degree from American International University-Bangladesh which is an internationally affiliated institution. In my undergraduate studies, I have benefited from the breadth of Islamic Universitys syllabi content that has developed my basic in science and mathematics giving me a comprehensive exposure to the core areas of Mechanical Engineering and a strong conceptual understanding of the same. In these four years of study, I have strived to maintain an approach of expending independent effort in all my endeavors. Learning by myself and sharing my knowledge with others has been most worthwhile, when comprehending a concept. Moreover, due to studying in an international institution (IUT), high standard of education with fine environment among brightest talents of Bangladesh as well as from different countries groomed me international standard of education and gave me the confidence to cope up with any kind of international standard job with intense challenge. I am confident; I will be successful at International Master in Industrial Management program and will be a very much part of the University community. (Please see attached Resume for the Academic and Co-curricular distinctions) Field of Interest Though I have worked in Solar energy and Heat Transfer in my undergraduate level as the university system selected be to do so but I always had a high interest in the field of Industrial Management. The most distinctive aspect of Industrial Management is the flexibility that it offers. Whether its shortening a rollercoaster line, streamlining an operating room, distributing products worldwide, or manufacturing superior automobiles, all share the common goal of saving companies money and increasing efficiencies. My research interest is mainly focused on continual improvement of manufacturing/service processes, supply chain & distribution network, project handling through network diagram and gnat chart, simulation and modeling of

industrial systems that is scheduling and sequencing of jobs, queuing network modeling, network reliability analysis, vehicle routing, design of flexible assembly systems etc. As I have already got opportunity to work in quality management system I am very confident enough to take further challenges in research in the field of Industrial Management. Why International Master in Industrial Management During my search in the internet for a prospective university for graduate studies; I visited IMIM website and came to know about its scope of work, facilities, faculties, and typical projects. All of its project types intrigue me very much. Moreover, the information regarding reputation and facilities of the university shared by our seniors have encouraged me enough to apply. I do believe that, I will have the best lesson and get the ample opportunity to familiar myself with researches in this area in Industrial Management. Purpose of Study & Career Goal Achieving the excellence is the motto of my life. I am confident that my dedication and passion for my work will lead me to reach my destination. After deserving the necessary knowledge, I want to serve my country by sharing the gathered knowledge to the future engineers of my country.
