KLINTMALM LIVER TRANSPLANT CLAMPS
The Klintmalm Liver Transplant Clamp is designed to securely occlude the suprahepatic inferior vena cava of the recipient during anastomosis of the donor liver. Unique teething design of a single row against a double row of teeth helps prevent slippage and scissoring of the jaw. An even-parallel closure of the jaw helps prevent blood seepage and helps minimize the risk of the vena cava slipping from the clamp. Jaw curvature is designed to meet the anatomical requirements of the upper abdomen and to reduce trauma to the liver. The Klintmalm Liver Transplant Clamp is designed specifically to occlude the inferior vena cava of the recipient during anastomosis of the donor liver. A standard vascular clamp on the cuff of the vena cava and diaphragm may not always properly close due to the amount of tissue in the clamp.
