Kumar took dancing as his passion, learning Indian classical dance forms such as kuchipudi as well as Western styles-Hip

hop,Jazz,Modern dance.Kumar has trained under renowned Bollywood choreographers and also trained at the Shiamak Davar Institute of performing arts,USC Dance/theatre school. he completed masters degree at USC. kumar introduced his hip hop/jazz/Bollywood-style dance routine to the U.S.. Since then, many have experienced this style through kumar's Highly popular classes. He is working on a version of bollywood styled nutcracker. kumar has performed at stellar events such as the Premieres for the films "Bride and Prejudice" and "Slumdog Millionaire" in the U.S. has won awards at kansas film festival,detroit film festival,North carolina film festival and many more. Kumar has taught Master Classes at various U.S. Dance Institutes and conventions and has held workshops across the globe for many high end corporations .Kumar also worked on the first Bollywood Flash mob in Times Square.

He has worked on the following music videos, independent films Stop it,Toppie,Shades of life,Million thoughts,snapshot:travails of my father,Miles,date night and many more and has won awards at kansas film festival,detroit film festival,North carolina film festival.His work has been screened at many more film festivals-Atlanta film festival,flatland film festival,blue ocean film festival and many more. People fall in love with the beat , kumar says, the music combined with its sensuous, vigorous movements recreates the excitement that an occasion is being celebrated. People have so much fun; they dont realize they are also getting an awesome cardiovascular and muscle-strengthening workout through my dance routine. Bringing my routine to people all over the world is so gratifyingI am absolutely living my dream. he practices yoga daily.I meditate at night and early in the morning doing transcendental meditation.He has a masters degree from USC.Kumar proudly embraces his heritage, and is an active member various organisations.
