A. Purpose (why the position exists within what limit and with what objectives) The Chemist Specialist will develop, direct, monitor, analyze, and maintain the Plant Chemistry program. Duties of this position will include but not limited to establishing, analyzing, and maintaining the Condensate Polisher System; Feed water and Boiler Water Treatment; On site fuel oil & Coal; Cooling System including hydrogen cooled generator; Cycle Chemistry parameters; Water Treatment Plant; Service water and Potable water, FGD Scrubber Chemistry Program, Turbine Lube Oil, Online and Laboratory Tools maintenance; Gas Monitor management; Chemical handling program; and all Plant Effluent and Discharge Waters. This person will develop related procedures, set frequency of sampling, provide leadership to chemical programs, and will use chemical engineering principals to provide technical support for the Paiton Power Station Unit 3 -1 x 815 MW and Paiton Unit 7/8 2 x 615 MW.
