1. INTRODUCTION

The main purpose of this software is to reduce the manual errors involved in the airline reservation process and make it convenient for the customers to book the flights as when they require such that they can utilize this software to make reservations, modify reservations or cancel a particular reservation. Airline Reservations Systems contain airline schedules, fare tariffs, passenger reservations and ticket records. An airlines inventory contains all flights with their available seats. The inventory of an airline is generally divided into service classes (e.g. First, Business or Economy class) and up to 26 booking classes, for which different prices and booking conditions apply. Inventory data is imported and maintained through a Schedule Distribution System over standardized interfaces. One of the core functions of the inventory management is the inventory control. Inventory control steers how many seats are available in the different booking classes, by opening and closing individual booking classes for sale. In combination with the fares and booking conditions stored in the Fare Quote System the price for each sold seat is determined.

2. SCOPE The name of the software is AIRLINE RESERVATION SYSTEM. This software provides options for viewing different flights available with different timings for a particular date and provides customers with the facility to book a ticket, modify or cancel a particular reservation but it does not provide the customers with details of cost of the ticket and it does not allow the customer to modify a particular part of his reservation and he/she can modify all his details.

Overview Project is related to Hospital Management System. The project maintains two levels of users: Administrator Level-Doctor User Level-Data Entry Operator

Main facilities available in this project are: Maintaining records of indoor/outdoor patients. Maintaining patients diagnosis details, advised tests to be done. Providing different test facilities to a doctor for diagnosis of patients.

3 .LITERATURE REVIEW A Service-oriented Architecture (SOA) is a specific type of distributed system in which the agents are services. SOA implementation is heavily utilizing the standards such as XML, WSDL (Web Service Description Language), SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) and UDDI (Universal Description, Discovery and Integration). The service provider is required to publish a WSDL description of its developed service into the service registry using UDDI standard. The service requester can then access, invoke and composite the required published web services using the client interfaces. we have utilized the proposed SOA methodology by IBM in modelling, designing and implementing the web services due to its proven feasibility. In the early days of American commercial aviation, passengers were relatively few, and each airline's routes and fares were tightly regulated by the Civil Aeronautics Board. These were published in a volume entitled The Official Airline Guide, from which travel agents or consumers could construct an itinerary, then call or telex airline staff, who would mark the reservation on a card and file it. This manual system is still used by relativelyfew travel agents who do not use ARS. As demand for air travel increased and schedules grew more complex, this process became impractical, hence, giving rise to the need of an automated reservation system called Airline Reservation System (ARS).

4.Software Requirnment: Software Requirements Operating System: Win-98, Win-XP, Linux or any other higher version

Database: Ms Access

Hardware Requirnment: Processor : Pentium II, Pentium III, Pentium IV or higher Ram : 64 Mb Or Higher Disk Space: 130 Mb

5.Feasibility Study:

Airline reserveation System plays an important role in Information processing in airlines system. It is the system used for the benefit of the airlines in which date are coherently stored in a database, from where they are put at the disposal of authorized users at the place and at the time the data are required, in a format adapted to the specific needs of the users. It has many advantages such as faster access, storage and retrieval of data, cost effective, user friendly, more secure and involve less manpower. Hospital Airline reserveation System is indispensable for any airlines for strategic planning, programming, budgeting, financial resource allocation, maintaining patients' record, personnel development, distribution and management of equipment, and services.

5.1) Technical feasibility A study of resource availability that may affect the ability to achieve an acceptable system. This evaluation determines whether the technology needed for the proposed system is available or not.

5.2) Economical feasibility Economic justification is generally the Bottom Line consideration for most systems.Economic justification includes a broad range of concerns that includes cost benefit analysis. In this we weight the cost and the benefits associated with the candidate system and if it suits the basic purpose of the organization i.e. profit making, the project is making to the analysis and design phase.

5.3) Operational Feasibility It is mainly related to human organizations and political aspects.

5.4) Schedule feasibility Time evaluation is the most important consideration in the development of project. The time schedule required for the developed of this project is very important since more development time effect machine time, cost and cause delay in the development of other systems. A reliable Airline reserveation System can be developed in the considerable amount of time.

Operational: This layer comprises database, service registry and applications approach.

Service Components: One or more independent components can be integrated to develop a service.

Services: The complexity of the services can be varies. Some of the developed services are required to be combined to perform the whole process or operations. Business Process: The developed services should be reusable to cater the business operations. 5

Presentation: This layer is where the user will invoke all the published services.

6.CONCLUSION Airline Reservation System (ARS) has led to ease of airline ticketing, flight scheduling and also provided a means for customers to access and book flights from their homes. It has also increased the speed with which information about customers are retrieved and handled and flight scheduling is tasked.
