MONTHLY CRIME BULLETIN Burglary July 2012 Activity Summary: There were eighteen (18) burglaries reported in July 2012. There were eighteen (18) burglaries reported during the same timeframe in 2011. There is no percentage change from 2011 to 2012. Fifteen (15), or 83%, of the incidents involved residential locations. Eleven (11) incidents, or 61%, involved unforced entry. Four (4) incidents, or 22%, were discovered on a Tuesday and four (4) on a Wednesday. Twelve (12) incidents, or 67%, were discovered between the hours of 1200 - 2359. Eleven (11) incidents are open for further investigation, three (3) have been closed with leads exhausted and four (4) have been closed due to victim refusal to cooperate. Historically, HPD has an average of 21 burglaries during the month of July with a current threshold of 16 to 26. This July, we were within the threshold with 18 reported burglaries. Forecast for August: The average number of burglaries for the month of August is 22 plus or minus 9.
