Abstract Yani Supriani, NPM : 2010727125 The Influence of Accelerated Learning Model and Student Communication toward the

Understanding of Mathematic Concept (Experiment Research to the First Grade of SMP Negeri 21 Kota Serang). Keyword: Accelerated Learning Model, Role Play Technique, Question Ball Technique, Student Communication, High Communication, Low Communication, Understanding of Mathematic Concept. The main purpose of this research is to know the influence and interaction between accelerated learning model and student communication toward the understanding of mathematic concept. Population of this research is student of VIIA and VIIB class SMP Negeri 21 Kota Serang, 2011/2012 year. Sample of this research is taken by using Multi Stage Random Sampling, it means that choosing class randomly to be experiment class (role play technique group) and control class (question ball technique group), continued by grouping the student to each class into two different communication skill (high and low communication). Research design used in this research is factorial design 2X2 with three variables which contains two independent variables are accelerated learning model and student communication; and one dependent variable is the understanding of mathematic concept. Collecting of the data is conducted by using test technique (the understanding of mathematic concept), questioner technique (student communication) and document technique (accelerated learning model). Data collected is analyzed by using ANAVA two sides and it is continued with the tukey test because there is influence between accelerated learning models with student communication toward the understanding of mathematic concept. Before the data is being analyzed, it is conducted descriptive statistical analysis and data testing (normality and homogeneity tests). Result of the research shows that: (1) accelerated learning model gives influence to the understanding of mathematic concept, it is showed by the result of anava where F count is 30,49 more and F-table for the significance level 5% (4,00); (2) student communication gives influence to the understanding of mathematic concept, it is showed by the result of anava where the F-count (4,27) more than F-table for the significance level 5% (4,00); (3) there is interaction between accelerated learning model and student communication toward the understanding of mathematic concept, it is showed by F count (6,29) more than F table for the significance level 5% (4,00); (4) there is influence of the understanding of mathematic concept with accelerated learning concept for the students communication, it is showed by the result of tukey test where the count test (17, 91) higher than t test.
