We see a greater interest in seminars each year. People are hungry to learn more about what God is doing and how they
can engage in His mission. Will you consider presenting a seminar? Seminar tracks for 2013 are found on page 3.

Seminar Guidelines:
The presentations are NOT to promote an organizations platform or to advertise with handouts or literature.
Each speaker should try to present a broad vision of world missions. Because MissionFest welcomes such a variety of
organizations and denominations, speakers are requested to avoid making comments or inferences that could be considered
derogatory to another mission organization or denomination.
3. MissionFest FEEDBACK suggestions: Keep introductions short, stay on topic, use visual aids, use group interaction, allow for
questions and provide notes or outlines on seminar topic.
4. Seminars are one hour including Q & A and will be held Friday and Saturday.
5. Submit a separate application for each proposed seminar.
6. Seminar presenters are invited to participate at their own expense.
7. Complete a detailed outline on the reverse side of this form.
8. Submit applications before or by October 1 , 2012.
9. The MissionFest Seminar Committee reserves the right to select seminars, edit titles and descriptions for listing in the Program.
10. Presenters are responsible for obtaining their own projector, power bar/extension cord for the seminar.
11. MFT Statement of Faith if you or your agency has not filled out our Statement of Faith please download it from
www.missionfest.org , under Program, under Seminar, and include it with your application.

Seminar Tracks
1.

Least Reached: Buddhist, Chinese, Hindu, Muslim, Tribal, Secular Societies

Billions of people in areas of the world where there is little or no access to churches or Christians.

2.

Marketplace Missions
Reaching the lost in your place of work.

3.

Church Missions Committees

These seminars will focus on assisting church missions committees to set goals, deal with issues, provide vision,
recruit, train and support their missionaries.

4.

Opportunities Again
Seminars designed for the person nearing or in retirement who wishes to become more actively involved in
missions.

5.

Preparing for Missionary service

We are looking for practical seminars on the steps that people need to take in order to prepare themselves for the
mission field.

6.

Missions Vocational Skills and Opportunities

We are looking for overviews of the various skills, tasks and experiences that are needed on the mission field
today: business and professional skills, teaching ESL, MK education, Bible translation, church planting,
evangelism, discipleship, literacy, administrative and technical skills, radio, aviation, community development.

7.

Short Term Missions

How short-term mission trips can be done effectively and appropriately. The challenges and opportunities of
short term missions.

8.

Missionary Principles and Practices

These seminars should focus on the challenges, issues, strategies and theology of missions endeavor. How do we
do missions?

9.

Missions in the Arts & Media

How can various disciplines of the arts and media be used for Missional purposes?

10.

Prayer and Intercession

How can we effectively pray for missions?

11.

Mission in Asia
These seminars will deal with the unique challenges, opportunities and issues that missionaries face in Asia.

12.

Mission News and Views

We are looking for reports on what God is doing and the needs and challenges that are facing the church at
regional or global levels. These seminars could also focus on the remaining tasks in fulfilling the great
commission.
