Part II Answer each question in 250 to 350 words: 1. What are some of the ways groups of people are identified? People are identified in a lot of different ways but mainly they are identified by gender, race, ethnicity, and religion. People can also be identified in other ways like age but a lot of people identify people by their looks instead of their ethnicity or race. People can identify others by their gender which is obviously whether they are male or female. These days it can sometimes be hard to tell whether one is male or female but that is beside the point. People also can identify others by their race which is whether a person is white, African American, Chinese, Asian, etc. People

can be identified by their ethnicity which is the background of their family or their association. Finally, people can be identified by their religion whether they are Christian, Muslim, Protestant, Catholic, or a religion of their own creation. All these things (race, gender, ethnicity, and religion) are what make people who they are and makes people unique. If we all had the same ethnicity or race then we wouldnt be very different from each other.

2. Why do people label and group other people? People label and group other people because they might not have the same views as that particular person. A lot of people are stubborn and judge others that do not have the same beliefs as them or people that worship a different God than them. People also label others because some people have different skin color or race than them and they are stuck in the past when a majority of people were racist. I do not feel that it is right for others to label or group others based on their skin tone, skin color, their looks, their beliefs, or their family history because that is what makes everyone so unique and different from one another. It also gives everyone a story to tell about their religion or where their family comes from. Just because someone has a different color of skin or a different religion than you does not mean that they are any different from you. It does not mean that they dont share a lot of the same similar interests as you such as music, movies, cars, games, sports, etc. When you judge someone by the color of their skin it is wrong and a lot of people dont realize that they probably have ancestors from the same place as the person they are judging or they might have family members that are married to someone from the same place as the person they are judging.
