PROJECT UNDERTAKEN: CAMPUS RECRUITMENT AND VENDORS EMPANELMENT FOR SALES DEPARTMENT.
1. CAMPUS RECRUITMENT: - Using Secondary data provided

by company of different graduation and post graduation institutes.

As I was concerned with recruitment firstly I was given the data which was already there with the company and I need to make cold calls to them and take the relevant information from the placement officers about the no. of students in marketing and even those who are interested to do the field work. There examination month and when they can join if selected. Taking there e-mail id forward them the job description and company profile. If the reply is OK then asking them the students details with no., students wiling to attends the interview. If the no. of students is above 60 then we arrange a campus interview if it is around 20-25 then we contact other institutes if possible we try to arrange the pool campus with approximate student strength of around 150 students then the host institute arrange convince for recruitment managers who will take the interview and if the there are only 10 or less then the students are been sent to the nearest INDIAMART branch. Once the interviews are arranged the student data is been entered in the spreadsheets and given to the manager and after the interview is over again the data of selected student is entered in MIS from their resumes. Collection of Primary data about the institutes from different places in India with the help of different internet sites collecting their information making a spreadsheet of new institutes and making fresh calls to them taking the data about their pre placement officer and then making a to him asking about the availability of students their examination month when they can join and about the interview process. Arranging interview according to the no. students availability arranging campus interview or pool campus or branch interview then after the selection of the candidate entering his data in MIS 2. EMPANELMENT OF VEDORS/CONSULTANCIESBeing in Indiamart I have learned working on different internet portals that can provide getting recruitment through different mediums like recruiting the candidates from vendors. For that I have worked on different internet portals like naukri2000.com to find out
10

the consultancies in different parts of India such as Ahmedabad , Pune , Chennai and Bangalore etc. who can give us the suitable candidates for the vacancy of sales executive . In this process firstly I need to find out the different consultancy in a particular city then getting the details of that vendor . And recording that details in a spreadsheets with all the details like source, contact name, contact place, contact no. E-mail id etc . For that I used to make a cold call to them asking about the type of profile hat they could provide and other details. Taking their e-mail id and forwarding them the job description and terms and condition for the contract of empanelment with Indiamart . Then if the terms and conditions are acceptable by the vendor then they provide the profiles and candidates for the interview. If the candidate gets selected then rthe contract is completed and payment is made with invoice of vendors. 2. WORKING ON WEEKLY MIS (Management Information System) As and when the candidate is selected with the help of above two methods his details are being entered in MIS .As the joining day in Indiamart is Monday so before that a confirmation is call made to he candidate confirming about the joining date , salary , job location , contact person etc. and recording the remark as joining or joining delayed or not joining . then again on Monday a call is made to him asking about whether he had reached office or not or whether he is comfortable or not . and then the last remark is entered that he had joined or not yet .

TABULATION OF DATA
The process of placing classified data into tabular form is known as tabulation. A table is a symmetric arrangement of statistical data in rows and columns. Rows are horizontal arrangements whereas columns are vertical arrangements. It may be simple, double or complex depending upon the type of classification.

41

Types of Tabulation:
(1) Simple Tabulation or One-way Tabulation: When the data are tabulated to one characteristic, it is said to be simple tabulation or one-way tabulation. For Example: Tabulation of data on population of world classified by one characteristic like Religion is example of simple tabulation. This method of tabulating the data was used by me in my research while entering initial data of selected candidate.

42

2) Double Tabulation or Two-way Tabulation: When the data are tabulated according to two characteristics at a time. It is said to be double tabulation or two-way tabulation. For Example: Tabulation of data on population of world classified by two characteristics like Religion and Sex is example of double tabulation. This method of tabulation was also used in my research project while I was preparing spreadsheet for fresh colleges in different institutes.

43

(3) Complex Tabulation:

When the data are tabulated according to many characteristics, it is said to be complex tabulation. For Example: Tabulation of data on population of world classified by two characteristics like Religion, Sex and Literacy etcis example of complex tabulation. This method was also used many times in my project research such while preparing tables for MIS , Vendors list and campus information
