// Message From Pastor Greg

I am so excited about what God is doing at the Crossing Church here in Tampa. I am thrilled to think about all of the great things that are sure to come out of your experience in KP3. If you dont already know, KP3 represents four key words in our dream of accomplishing our global mission statement: Transformed Cultures Through the Power of Jesus Christ. In order to be a church that truly pleases God in this generation and in generations to come we believe that we must: Be intensely Kingdom focused, Pray fervently, Compassionately love People and Relentlessly pursue the Presence of God, hence (Kingdom, Prayer, People and Presence) KP3. I hope you are ready because you are about to experience the most intensely rewarding time in your life! You are going to be challenged and stretched beyond what you think youre able in each area of your life. You will be challenged mentally, emotionally, physically and definitely spiritually! It will be intense, but we are confident thats why you are coming. Furthermore, we are confident that your level of intensity will most definitely be complemented by great personal reward. I am anticipating life change and growth at every turn and I truly believe that you have the potential to change our world. God is doing a new thing with this generation, unlike anything ever seen in history, and you are in the middle of it. Who knows? You could be a key leader in Gods next great move throughout the earth. Please know that my team and I will be praying for your calling, passion, and ministry direction, all the while counting on the fact that God himself will permanently enrich your life though this experience. Throughout your journey it would be noteworthy to remember: God is most interested in developing your character and your calling. The two habits of Prayer and being in the Word of God daily will shape and direct your life in Christ more than ten thousand classes. Remember to remain humble and retain the heart of a servant at all times; they pave the way to recognition and promotion in the Kingdom of God. Have fun and always try to be a blessing to those around you.

Its going to be a special year. We look forward to seeing God work in and through your life in mighty ways!

The Crossing Church

In April of 2005, members of Crosstown Community Church and The Pointe Church merged to form The Crossing Church. Crosstown had been searching for the right Senior Pastor to fulfill the calling God had placed on it; the Pointe Church was a rapidly growing church who had outgrown their facility and was in need of additional space. God aligned these two churches and formed one amazingly strong and balanced body, making them one in His hands.

//The Vision
Transformed cultures through the power of Jesus Christ. We see a Church that is intensely Kingdom focused The Church that we see is a winsome church of influence. We see a church permeating entire cities, regions, states and countries with explosive Spirit aided movements, a Church hardly able to contain its growth. We see a Church so powerful in its commitment to the Kingdom that cities and nations cannot ignore it. The Church that we see has a message so captivating and clear that lives are forever changed; a message beamed to the peoples of the earth through media and multiple technologies. We see a Church with one vision, one message, in thousands of locations. The Church that we see is a Church so committed to raising, training and empowering each new generation of leaders that all of our ministries resources are funneled to that end. The Church that we see is diversified, agile and responsive, able to function in unity and complexity like the human body; capable of unlimited growth. It is comprised of cells, each aiding and supplying the bodys Kingdom movements. We see a Church that is fervently Praying. We see a people fervently committed to Christ in prayerful humility; counting the cost and ready to pay any price to see revival and restoration sweep this land. The Church we see is on its face before God day and night, having every kind of prayer covering, interceding, calling, training and sending out powerful people of prayer. We see gatherings of thousands, stadiums being filled. Praying for and seeing the repentance of cities, officials and government leaders. We see a Church where divine miracles, and the wonders of God are spoken of, experienced and celebrated. We see a Church compassionately loving People. We see a Church filled with repentant people responding to Christs call to salvation. We see a Church so compassionate that people are drawn from impossible situations into a loving and friendly circle of hope, where Christ is shared, life is found and acceptance is given. We see a Church that reaches beyond social stigmas, races, classes and cultural barriers to bring aid, care, warmth and helping hands. A Church, sacrificing to meet the needs of those less fortunate, across the street and around the world. Demonstrating the love and compassion of Christ. The Church we see fully expects radically changed lives. Lives where the full and unbridled potential of the living Word of God is actualized and embodied, by Spirit led obedience, generosity and maturity. We see a Church relentlessly pursuing Gods Presence. We see a Church whose heartfelt praise and worship touches Heaven and changes Earth; worship which influences the praises of people throughout the earth, exalting Christ with powerful songs of faith and hope. We see a Church where people are set free, touched, changed, challenged, delivered and forever redeemed by encountering Gods Holy and discernable presence. Yes, the Church that we see is so dependent on the Holy Spirit that nothing will stop it nor stand against it; a Church whose people are unified, powerfully and continually praying with the full breath of Gods Spirit. We see a Church whose priest is Christ, whose presence is His Spirit, and whose passion is the Great Commission. Yes, The Church that we see could well be our church The Crossing Church

//Lifestyle of The Crossing Church

Based on what the Bible teaches, we feel very strongly about the following seven practices: 1. Bible as Our Sole Authority The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true and make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us to do what is right. 2 Timothy 3:15 Since Gods Word is the only completely reliable and truthful authority, we accept the Bible as our manual for living. Our first question when faced with a decision is what does the Bible say? We practice daily Bible reading, Bible study and Bible memorization. The Bible is the basis for all we believe. 2. Autonomy of Each Local Church Christ is the head of His Body, the church. He is the source of the Bodys life Colossians 1:18 (GN) Christ is the recognized head of our church, not any person, group, or religious organization. While recognizing the value of associating and cooperating with other groups of Christians, we believe every local church should be selfgoverning and independent from any denominational control. 3. Priesthood of Every Believer Christ loves us, and by His death He has freed us from our sins and made us a kingdom of priests to serve God Revelation 1:6 (GN) You arethe Kings priestsGods own people, chosen to proclaim the wonderful acts of God. 1 Peter 2:9 (GN) The Bible teaches that every Christian is called to full time Christian service, regardless of his or her vocation. We practice the truth that every believer is a minister by encouraging every member to find a place of service and ministry. Every believer has direct access to God through prayer and Bible reading. 4. Tithing Honor the Lord from your wealth and from the first of all your produce; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine. Proverbs 3:9-10 A tithe of everything you produce belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord. Leviticus 26:30 Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7 At The Crossing Church, we practice tithing for the support of Christs Body, the church. 5. Immersion For when you were baptized, you were buried with Christ, and in baptism you were also raised with Christ Colossians 2:12 (GN) We practice baptism by immersion under water, the way Jesus was baptized, and the way the Bible commands. 6. Spirit-led Living (Jesus said) I am the Vine, you are the branches. If you abide in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; but apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5 We believe the only way possible to live the Christian life is by Gods power within us. So we seek to practice a daily dependence on Gods Spirit to enable us to do what is right. Philippians 2:13; Ephesians 5:18 7. Telling Others About Christ Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks to give the reason for the hope that you have. 1 Peter 3:1

//Belief of The Crossing Church

In essential beliefs we have unity. There is one Body and one Spiritthere is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all Ephesians 4:4-6 In non-essential beliefs we have liberty. Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable mattersWho are you to judge someone elses servant? To his own master he stands or falls So then each of us will give an account of himself to GodSo whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Romans 14:1, 4, 12, 22 In all our beliefs we show charity. If I hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but also the very secrets of God, and if I have faith that can move mountains but have no love, I amount to nothing at all. 1 Corinthians 13:2 (Ph) About God God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. Genesis 1:1, 26-27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14 About Man Man is made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. He is the supreme object of Gods creation. Although man has tremendous potential for good, he is marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called sin. This attitude separates man from God. Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2. About Eternity Man was created to exist forever. After Death, one will either exist eternally united with God in Heaven, or exist eternally separated from God in Hell. The gift of eternal life is offered to every individual. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence. John 3:16; 2:25; 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; Matthew 18:8; Matthew 25:44, 46. About Jesus Christ Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heavens glory and will return again to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; John 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13. About Salvation Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting Jesus Christ as Gods offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sins penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. Romans 5:1; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6, John 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26. About Eternal Security Because God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in that salvation is for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives this security. John 10:28-29; Hebrews 7:25; Hebrews 10:10, 14; 1 Peter 1:3-5.

//Belief of The Crossing Church Cont.

About the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and Son as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. The Christian seeks daily to live under His control. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer gifts to be used in ministry to other Christians and to the world.

About the Bible

The Bible is Gods Word to all men. It is written by human authors, under supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error. 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:10-160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5

About Ministry
It is the Pastors responsibility to lead the church and to equip the membership for ministry. Each member has the responsibility to discover and employ their gifts in the life of the church. Every Christian needs to discover and be faithful in their ministry for Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:7; Ephesians 4:11-13; Hebrews 13:17; 1 Peter 4:10-11.

About Praise and Worship

The Christian exists to minister to the world, to other Christians, and especially to God through praise and worship. We exist for the praise of His glory. Worship is celebrative, reflective and inspirational. Psalm 100; Ephesians 1:12; Psalm 63:3-4; Psalm 150; Psalm 126:2-3

//Student Life
Training and learning in College courses takes place in a number of settings, including lecture-based classes, weekly work-outs, Chapels, Ministry Tracks, Life Groups, outreaches, mission trips, workshops, and service roles. Attendance at these is therefore a requirement of KP3, and students are expected to attend all classes and associated activities. It is KP3s policy for students to attend all required activities throughout the year. Students will not be able to pass their classes or other activities if they have more than 2 unexcused absences.

Classes
All classes are taught at a College Level. If you fail a class you will need to retake that class in an independent study through Logos. There will be a $225.00 fee for retaking a class.

Grading System
The Grading system for each class may differ depending on the teacher.

Academic Policies
In order to successfully complete KP3 and earn either an Associate or Bachelor degree, students are required to: 1. Pass all subjects including core classes, Ministry Tracks, and all KP3 activities with satisfactory grades and attendance. 2. Comply with the Student Honor Code 3. Pay all tuition fees and mission trip fees.

Academic Honesty
The Word of God is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path and we are to confirm it by keeping His righteous ordinances (Psalm 119:105-106). It is assumed that academic honesty will prevail. Logos policies in this area are posted on their website at www.logos.edu. Problems in this area will be handled with an equal concern for love and justice. Policy on Research and Plagiarism: Merriam-Websters College Dictionary defines plagiarism as, to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as ones own: use (anothers production without crediting the source. While fully supporting the use of tools, reference works, the Internet and other available media, Logos requires that all of the work submitted by a student for grading and evaluation be the result of their own writing efforts and creative processes. We encourage you to use all information available for the purpose and excerpts as the work of another author, and properly cite the source. Logos has a policy for reviewing the content of all papers submitted for grading and evaluation through the use of a technological process. By means of this process, faculty members are able to identify situations where the information was taken directly from other publications or modified by the student and subsequently inserted into the work to be graded. Students should be advised that plagiarism in any form is prohibited, and that work containing plagiarized materials will be downgraded and returned for resubmission. The Dean is notified whenever a student submits work for evaluation and grading that contains plagiarized materials. Continued instances of plagiarism will result in academic probation and may lead to other disciplinary measures.

Excused absences:
KP3 staff understands that there may be some circumstances outside of the students control; therefore, excused absences may be granted on a case by case basis (ie: death in the family, illness with doctors note, family emergency, etc.). In the event that a student has an excused absence, they are responsible for notifying their teacher and Ministry Track Directors for obtaining notes and assignments and covering any track or service responsibilities.

Classroom Etiquette
Students must maintain a high level of respect in the classroom. Laptops are only to be used for the purpose of taking notes. Searching the internet, checking email, etc. will not be permitted and will result in the removal of those privileges. Students will not be permitted to use the restroom during class and must remain respectful of the teacher at all times.

Venue Coordinators
Several students throughout the year will be appointed for each term to be responsible for the maintenance of the classroom facilities and lounge at an acceptable standard. This will include the rearrangement of furniture for lectures if required and the returning of the room to an acceptable standard at the end of lectures.

Class Breaks
There will be small breaks between classes and most activities. Students are asked not to prolong the break or enter into any activity that may delay class beginning on time. Students need to remain respectful of the working environment and should remain quiet around the offices. There should be no running or yelling in the halls.

Class Hospitality
Students will be appointed to be responsible for looking after the lecturers. This involves providing for the needs of the lecturers and may include refreshments (water and coffee) and lecturing supplies (markers, media assistance, sound recording).

Examinations
Examination format may vary from classroom exams to research papers. Some may be open workbook or open Bible, while others may be closed book.

Study and Homework

It is imperative that students succeed in their academics in KP3. Every student is expected to study or complete homework every day. It should be a general rule that for every hour of class attendance, at least one hour should be spent in study. Computers and internet access is available in the KP3 Lounge.

Time Management
During this season of being a student in KP3 you will be challenged and stretched and must learn how to balance and make time for many things. It is imperative that students learn how to prioritize well so that schoolwork is completed on time. Students are not guaranteed extensions on work and cannot use KP3 related activities or employment as excuses for not completing schoolwork.

Page 9 of 15

Tardies
Students must be on time to every activity.

Counseling Services & Pastoral Care

KP3 places emphasis on building believers who are mature and effective in every sphere of life. There are a number of ways that we can help students work through personal issues they may be facing. If you find that you need pastoral care assistance/counseling or prayer, other avenues that are available are listed below: 1. The Crossing Pastoral Care team: students can make an appointment, outside of class time and Ministry Track time, through the KP3 Director. 2. Professional Counselors: if professional services are required, referrals can be made by KP3 (or other pastoral staff) to Christian counselors that are recommended by The Crossing Church. Please note that students will be required to pay the fees for any professional counseling services. All information provided by the student will remain strictly confidential and will not be released to any person outside the Pastoral Care Team without the students written permission.

Discipline
Students are to always remember their commitment to God, to learning and to show respect towards the lecturers and staff. Where there is conflict or a breach of the Student Honor Code, students may be subject to disciplinary action. In such cases, the following steps will be taken: 1. The student is to attend an initial interview with the KP3 Director. 2. KP3 staff will decide upon action required. 3. KP3 staff will meet with any relevant department leaders (ie: where the student is involved in ministry in another department and the leader needs to be informed of the situation or action needed). 4. Student is to attend a second interview with original KP3 staff to be notified of disciplinary action to be taken and/or to sign any probation contract that may be needed. 5. Students who do not exhibit an appropriate response to disciplinary procedures or who do not abide by the probation contract may face termination of enrollment.

Evaluations
Evaluations will be held for the students benefit and growth. Students will meet with their Track Director who will evaluate their performance and also give the student the opportunity to give honest feedback on their learning experience. Students are asked to consider the constructive feedback given from their Track Director and to apply it to their lives in order to grow as a leader.

Events
Students are expected to participate in all events held throughout the year. Students are expected to be available during the day and evening and will need to notify employers of their unavailability during these events.

Excellence
As we strive for excellence in all we do at The Crossing Church, our hope is that students will catch this spirit as they learn here. It is vital that students complete every task with excellence, remain proactive and resourceful, always look for needs to meet, and work as unto God with an excellent attitude.

Once the situation has been dealt with, an Incident Report form (available from HR) must be completed and given to the KP3 Director.

Lunch Breaks
Lunch breaks should be no longer than 1 hour. Students are to return on time.

Mentors
Students must learn to position themselves well to be mentored. In order to help students learn and grow, they will I encourage each student to have biweekly meetings with a mentor. Many staff members are available to the students, and will be a tremendous help during this season of the students lives.

Messages
The front desk Receptionist will not take messages for students unless it is of an urgent nature.

Mailing Address
In no case will you ever use The Crossing Churches mailing address as yours for personal use.

Please do not distract staff members from their work unless you have an appointment or they have requested you to come to their office. Emails- students are not permitted to send out all staff emails unless directed by their Track Director or approved by the KP3 Coordinator. Student ID tags are to be worn at all times for security and identification. Students should never be in a closed door office with the opposite sex.

Page 11 of 15

Personal Prayer and Devotions

As a student committed to living the God-first life and training for leadership, you should establish a daily time of prayer and Bible reading. This is a vital part of your spiritual foundation and development and should be a time you set apart from the rest of your day. Do not confuse this with times set apart for meetings, chapel, study or other church related activities as these things will not provide the same foundation for your life as your own relationship with God.

Phones
All cell phones are to be turned off, or turned on silent and may not be answered during lectures, Ministry Track time, and all KP3 activities unless otherwise specified by your Track Director.

Student ID Cards
Students will be issued a student ID card at the beginning of each year. ID cards must be worn at all times while on the premises including weekdays as well as services. If you lose your card, a replacement card can be obtained through the KP3 Director for $5. Replacement cards may take some time to be made.

Work-outs
As part of KP3s goal to develop the whole student, weekly work-outs are mandatory requirements.

Weekend Service Ministry

Church ministry is a mandatory part of the KP3 curriculum, and you will be required to serve during the Sunday service times and attend the Saturday night 7:00 service. For any students who are from the area and serve at a different church, we will make special arrangements for their learning experience so that they can still serve at their local church. Students will be required to write a report on the sermon given each weekend due at the beginning of the next week. Further instructions will be given during your Personal Development Class. Wednesday night High School youth services are mandatory services that students will be assigned service roles.

Withdrawal from KP3

If you choose to withdraw from the College, you are required to make an appointment to speak with the KP3 Director. No student is permitted to withdraw from College until arrangements have been made for the payment of his/her bills. Failure to comply with proper withdrawal procedures can mean denial of future readmission and transcripts. There will be no refund issued to students who choose to withdraw.

Comments and Suggestions

KP3 welcomes any practical suggestions or ideas from students that will assist the improvement of the program. This is your program and we desire to create an environment in which students flourish and learn to the best of their potential. If you do have constructive feedback you can make an appointment with the KP3 Director.

//KP3 Student Honor Code

KP3 Academy is concerned not only with academic performance but also with the character development of each student. We place high value on discipline, integrity, and character so that each student has a strong foundation to build upon as they learn in the classroom and in their internship. One of the KP3s most important goals is to facilitate the growth and development of Christian character in line with biblical principles. It is expected that KP3 students live in such a manner that brings glory to Christ in their behavior and attitudes both in and outside of KP3 settings. Therefore, each student is expected to abide by the following: 1. Spirit: I will develop my spiritual relationship with God by taking on the attitude of Christ and submitting myself to those in spiritual leadership over me. I hold myself responsible for my growth and choose to be a learner and seeker of God even when it is not asked of me. I will strive to position myself for discipleship and mentoring. I commit to personal devotion to God no matter how rigorous my schedule may be. 2. Body: Recognizing that my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, I commit to honor God in the way I treat my body. I will work to discipline my body and maintain a healthy lifestyle by fulfilling the exercise requirements and nutrition assignments. 3. Character: I purpose to develop character, integrity and godliness in seeking to become the leader that God has called me to be. I will constantly strive for truth and honor in my personal life so that I may lead others to do the same. I will abstain from biblically immoral practices including: drunkenness, illegal drugs, tobacco, stealing, slanderous or profane language, dishonesty, occult practices and sexual sins (premarital sex, adultery, and homosexuality) or any other behavior that is considered detrimental to Christian character and witness. 4. Attitude: I will attend all required events and activities with an optimistic and energetic attitude. As a leader I recognize that I am responsible to demonstrate qualities that challenge others to be excited about God. I will avoid attitudes (such as greed, jealousy, pride, bitterness, needless anger, and discrimination) and behavior (such as gossip, divisiveness, and complaining) that disrupts the unity and health of the College body. 5. Relationships: I will develop solid relationships with others seeking to be sharpened and challenged in my walk with God. I will seek to be the first to love and forgive others, as I would want to be loved and forgiven, and I will do my best to not take offense. 6. Accountability: I will take responsibility for my actions and will make myself accountable to my peers as well as authority. I recognize that accountability starts by subjecting myself to others, not waiting for them to hold me accountable. I will follow KP3 rules and recommendations to live an accountable lifestyle. 7. Authority: I will show respect for staff and faculty and cooperate with the aims and endeavors of KP3 and The Crossing Church. I will submit even when I disagree and will bring any concerns to my authority in a mature, loving way without gossip or a bad attitude. 8. Academics: I will attend all prescribed lectures, ministry tracks, services, and activities required by KP3 unless formally excused. I will submit all assignment work by the due dates specified on course syllabi. I will refrain from dishonest academic practices as outlined by the Academic Misconduct policy. 9. Finances: I commit to being a faithful steward with my finances. I will plan ahead to make all financial deadlines to continue KP3. I will strive to honor God and put Him first in this area of my life. I also take full responsibility to raise sufficient funds for our mission trip without excuse.
