Research refers to a search for knowledge. It can be defined as a scientific and systematic search for pertinent information on a specific topic. Research comprises defining and redefining problems, formulating hypothesis or suggested solutions, collecting, organizing and evaluating data, making deduction and reaching conclusions, and at last carefully testing the conclusions to determine whether they fit the formulating hypotheses.

Research Design
A research design is concerned with turning a research question into a test project. The best design depends on the research questions. Every design has its positive and negative sides. The research design has been considered a blueprint for research, dealing with at least four problems: what question to study, what data is relevant, what data to collect, and how to analyze the result.
