Background/Summary This Lesson is about The Numbers of Keyboard. The activities are meant to encourage the pupils to be familiar on the numbers of the keyboard. Likewise, the lesson intends to put into the minds of the learners the importance of the keyboard numbers. Targeted State Frameworks/Content Standards/Benchmarks A. Know the keyboard numbers. B. Locate the keyboard numbers. C. Use the keyboard numbers. Student Objectives/Learning Outcomes At any point of the learning activities, the pupils shall be able to 1. Familiarize yourself with the location of the numbers on the keyboard. Curriculum Framing Questions A. Essential What are the numbers on the keyboard? Technology Hardware Desktop/Laptop Computer LCD Projector CD Player Prerequisite Skills A. Conceptual Knowledge 1. Computer Keyboard

Procedures First Day: Classroom A. Preliminary Activities 1. Prayer 2. Ask 10 students to form a line in front. Boys are more preferred. Assign each student to prepare a simple step or pose which their classmates will follow. 3. While singing the song, Ten Little Indians, each student will show his step/pose as their assigned number is called out. The rest of the students will follow. B. Developmental Activities 1. Introduce the keyboard numbers by showing them pictures of the numeric keypad and the alphanumeric. 2. Help the students be familiarized with the location of the numbers in the computer keyboard by reciting with them the numbers according to its position. 3. Let the students answer activity sheet 32which will help them more in recognizing and locating the numbers in the alphanumeric keypad. 4. Evaluate and discuss with them the activity. 5. Remind the students to continue practicing the use and proper handling of the keyboard at home. Ask them to practice typing numbers. 6. End the class by singing Ten Little Indians once again with step or poses the students want to do. Second Day: This will be done in an Internet Laboratory and assumed that there is a 1 pupil :1 computer ratio. A. Developmental Activities 1. Recall the lesson about the numbers of the keyboard. 2. On a piece of paper, ask the students to draw the numbers found on the alphanumeric and the numeric keypad. B. Application 1. Use activity sheet 33 as a drill and practice for the students in locating and typing numbers on the keyboard. 2. Guide the students as they use the keyboard and do the activity. 3. Evaluate them using the activity sheet 34. 4. After the assessment, recall with them the important facts and

information about the keyboard numbers. 5. Sing Ten Little Indians as the students hug each other before dismissing the class.
