Occupational Health & Safety Training Offered Locally No Cost to You!

Training Scheduled for August 27th 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM Housekeeping: Preventing Slips, Trips, and Falls Good housekeeping makes your job easier, more efficient AND safer. This 90-minute course combines the important elements of practicing good housekeeping on the job, as well as OSHA guidance on preventing slips, trips and falls. Heat and Cold Stress Knowing how to prevent heat and cold stress is important not only in the workplace but also at home. This 90-minute course provides OSHA guidance on how to properly prevent injuries and death caused by exposure to extreme temps. Lock out / Tag out LO/TO is a specific procedure that safeguards employees from the unexpected powering or startup of machinery and equipment, or the release of hazardous energy during service or maintenance activities. This 90-minute session will cover the safety steps to follow for authorized and affected employees.

Training Scheduled for August 30th 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Safety for Supervisors: Supervisors are responsible for ensuring the health and safety of their workers. This indepth session covers what your responsibilities are and the best approaches for encouraging safe work practices.

LOCATION: Training will be held at the Charles H. Bohlen Technical Center (BOCES), 20104 NYS Route 3 in Watertown. REGISTRATION: Advance registration is required. Please email the following information for your attendee(s) to: wilson@citec.org no later than Friday, August 24th so that we can make sure we meet HABs minimum attendance requirement of 12 participants. Name, Title, Email Address, Phone Number, Company Name, Complete Address and which topic(s) they will be attending.
