Indian Relic Collectors are coming to Bowling Green, KY, for the 33rd Annual Artifact Show at the Sloan Convention Center on August 24-26, 2012. Terry and Sharon McGuire from Chicago, IL, will attend and display their rare, prehistoric bannerstone collection. Terry has published a CD on the topic which includes images from five major museum collections and over sixty private collections. It will be available for sale at the show. Steve Hamm from Lexington, TN, will be displaying the worlds largest Clovis Point, found in Hickman County, KY, and it is from the earliest Paleo Culture--8000BC or before. Three experts in the field of Indian artifacts, Bill Brockman from Indiana, Floyd Ritter from Illinois, and Garry Mumaw from Ohio, will be appearing at the show. Certificates of Authenticity may be obtained for a minimal cost. Owners of authentic relics will receive a document including a photograph of the artifact signed by the three respected experts. The value of the artifacts can also be assessed. Dealers and exhibitors will display prehistoric artifacts such as arrowheads, axes, pottery, beads, and much more. There will also be historic artifacts such as moccasins, rugs, baskets, and lots more. Some contemporary items are for sale as well, such as jewelry, frames, modern flint, rugs, artwork, etc. The public is welcome to bring their prehistoric, historic, and contemporary artifacts for appraisals or to offer to dealers for sale or trade. A photographer will be taking professional photos of artifacts for a minimal cost. Admission is $7.00 each or $19.00 per family per day. Dear Classified Guys, I recently married the love of my life. While I owned a home in New England near my family, she owned one in the South near her parents. We decided to live equally distant from both families and settled on a place somewhere in the middle. All we had to do was sell our houses. Mine went on the market as a For Sale By Owner (FSBO) and sold very quickly. My wife's house hasn't seen much activity and I'm concerned. We already picked out our new home, but have to sell hers in order to move. Otherwise, I'll be moving in with her. I'm worried because my inlaws only live a mile away and like to stop by with dinner unannounced. I adore my wife, but I'm not sure I can handle living that close to her family. Any ideas on how we can make her house more attractive to buyers as a FSBO?

Since you're not getting much activity, compare your price to other homes of similar size, style and location. Price your home slightly lower to gain more interest. Cash: The key to a fast sale is great advertising. If your ads are not generating interest, leave them out of the newspaper for a week or two. Then, place a new ad with a different picture and better wording. Buyers typically look at the new ads first to see what just came on the market.

Carry: If you really want a quick sale to avoid living next to your in-laws, consider some creative incentives. Offer to pay the buyer's mortgage or property taxes for the first year when they buy your home. Although it may cost you several thousand dollars, it can make for a quick sale. Cash: Another option is to have a one-day sale. Advertise an open house and let buyers submit their best offers in envelopes throughout the day. At the end of your open house, you can choose the highest bidder. Carry: And remember as an added incentive, you can always tell them that your in-laws can stop by with dinner.
